Will anyone of you beleive if I say Imam Mehdi will introduce hisself in the year 2003?????????? Await a great leader!!!!!!!!!!! & forward your opinions on this Wassalaam |

Thanks Sister. This has been declared by a leading scholar after researching the hadeeth sources. "INSHA ALLAH THIS WILL HAPPEN IN 2003".This is what the scholar has told us. Do you believe If I say , " A pious person has seen him & talked to him"??????? Wassalaam |

| [slm] Which scholar? Instead of asking when the Mahdi will be here, I think the question that we need to be asking is ... Are we ready for that time? The time of Mahdi will be a LOT of confusion. The greatest fitnah in history will arise then. MANY Muslims will not recognize the Mahdi and will oppose him, etc. We should pray not to be alive when that fitnah takes place. But if we are, then I pray to Allah that me and you are among those who are on the side of the Truth. Wassalamu alaikum. |

| Assalamu Alaikum, Plz all of you rmr only Allah (SWT) knows what will happen in the future ( in this case 2003)We should not believe anything like this and should reject any future predictions. When the time is right and with His (SWT) leave things will happen the way they are supposed to but no human can tell what will happen in the future. take care u all |

| [slm], I have been thinking about these things as I am sure many muslim have been thinking around these times. But really, Imam Mahadi will come inshaAllah and do his job and be rewarded by Allah for it. But what have we as muslims got to gain from it I was thinking. If we try to hide our weaknesses in this hope I dont think thats the right attitude. It seems that Imam Mahdi will come through a great great struggle and obviously the muslims who will be with him would be part of that struggle and obviously they will have to have strong Iman. Am I worthy of that party of Allah is the question I need to ask. After all Allah is not going to ask me what Imam Mahdi's contribution was, but rather what was mine. Wassalam |

No one knows that the mahdi is the mahdi till his time actually comes. I would really like to know how this scholar came to the conclusion that it would happen in 2003. There are many many signs and prerequisites that have not yet happened. I'd also like to know who this scholar is. |

| slm 2003? How can anyone be so precise? Anyway,I've also been thinking...I read somewhere, can't remember where, that near the Day of Judgment there's gonna be traffic in the air...it was a hadith. Traffic in the air...doesn't that sound like todays situation where there are alot of plane crashes and stuff? I dunno... hmm..has anyone read that hadith which says something about black flags from Iran or somewhere? And if u see 'em u should go to 'em, even if you have to crawl over ice? I can't remember the exact wording, maybe someone can post it and explain? wassalaamualaikum zakira |

| The Prophet (PBUH) said: "We (I and my family) are members of a household that Allah (SWT) has chosen for them the life of the Hereafter over the life of this world; and the members of my household (Ahlul-Bayt) shall suffer a great affliction and they shall be forcefully expelled from their homes after my death; then there will come people from the East carrying black flags, and they will ask for some good to be given to them, but they shall be refused service; as such, they will wage war and emerge victorious, and will be offered that which they desired in the first place, but they will refuse to accept it, until a man from my family (Ahlul-Bayt) appears to fill the Earth with justice as it has been filled with corruption. So whoever reachs that (time) aught to come to them even if crowling on the ice/snow." |

I have recently heard reports that the time of appearance of either Imam Mehdi or Dajjal will be approximately when there is a solar and lunar eclipse during a short space of time. Also that it will be when Ramadan will be more or less in the month of October. Having done research it was found that the next time sucha cosmic event will take place is in November 2003. The month of Ramadan will fall in October in that year also. Can you enlighten me with any other knowledge that you may have on the appearance of either Imam Mehdi or Dajjal and whether the facts stated above are accurate. [Ashraf] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A.) We have not come across any narration in which lunar or solar eclipse will occur when Ramadan falls in October. Nevertheless, the Hadith in which it is recorded that Imaam Mehdi will appear when lunar and solar eclipse will occur in the month of Ramadan is not of a sound nature. It is regarded weak according to some Muhadditheen. Even if we had to accept the Hadith, there is no guarantee that it refers to 2003. It can also refer to sometime in the future. No one can put a specific date on the coming of Imam Mehdi. All we can say is that since many of the signs that have been foretold of his coming are apparent today, for example, rampant vice, his time has certainly drawn closer. [/quote] I have some more details from one brother on this then what I'm putting on here, in it he talks about how Iran fits into the situation, but I won't go into that, and will just put this up. On the authority of Thawbaan (May Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: "If you see the Black Banners coming from Khurasan go to them immediately, even if you must crawl over ice, because indeed amongst them is the Caliph, Al Mahdi." [Narrated on authority of Ibn Majah, Al-Hakim, Ahmad] Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: "(Armies carrying) black flags will come from Khurasaan. No power will be able to stop them and they will finally reach Eela (Baitul Maqdas - Jerusalem) where they will erect their flags." Comment : The land of Afghanistan is still referred to as Khurasaan in rural areas of Afghanistan, Iran and Pakistan. Imam Al-Mahdi is the Awaited One who will help the Muslims at a time when they will percieve that they are annihilated due to the mass onslaught of the enemy. In his lifetime shortly after his appearance the Anti-Christ will appear followed by Isa Ibn Maryam (Jesus son of Mary (peace be upon them both)) who will kill the Anti-Christ and the whole world shall repent and believe in him i.e. Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him). That will be the end of the worst trial to fall upon mankind. After the death of Isa Ibn Maryam (peace be upon them), just leaders will come and after some generations mankind will revert back to disbelief and the world will be destroyed all of a sudden when not a single person will remain that believes in Allah. After a certain period Allah will resurrect everyone and Account of Mankind will be taken resulting in either eternal Paradise or Hell. Ye shall certainly be tried and tested in your possessions and in your personal selves; and ye shall certainly hear much that will grieve you, from those who received the Book before you and from those who worship many gods. But if ye persevere patiently, and guard against evil, then that will be a determining factor in all affairs. (Holy Quran, Chapter 3:186) [Only Allah knows what exactly will happen and when it will take place, maybe it is very soon or maybe decades later] |

| Salaam I cannot give a scholarly reply because I am not qualified to do so. I can give a personal reply though. Whether Imam Mahadi comes in 2003 or 2300 I pray to Allah that my family and I are amongst those accepted by him. So I avoid predictions and dua that if my ibadah is not enough for me to meet Him in paradise then lengthen my life so I can repent. If my ibadah is enough to meet Him in jannah then preserve me amongst those whom ALlah loves, Amin. Wassalam. |
