Respected Brother/Sister in Islam, Assallaamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullaahi Wa Barakaatuhu THE UMMAH IN DUA All over the world Muslims are in difficulties. Palestine, Kashmir, Iraq, Chechnya, Bosnia, Afghanistan, etc. are clear evidence of this. Besides the global atrocities against Muslims, every person has his own problems and needs. Somebody is ill, another is deep in debts, others are agonising over their disobedient children, etc. What is the way out of this situation? Firstly, sincere Tauba (Repentance) And Istighfaar (Seeking Forgiveness) is absolutely imperative. Tauba includes a firm resolution not to return to Sin again. Coupled with this let us draw down the help and mercy of Allah Ta'ala with Dua. Only the help and mercy of Allah Ta'ala can save us. Allah Ta'ala Declares: " If Allah Assists You, None Can Overcome You And If He Forsakes You, Who Is There To Assist You Besides Him? And Upon Allah Should The Believers Trust" (Al Qur'an) Therefore let us dedicate some time in Dua. Imagine The Ummah engaged non-stop in Dua for 24 hrs. Sounds Impossible? No. It is possible. At anytime of the day somewhere in the world is sunset. Thus if on a particular day throughout the world people gather for approximately 45 minutes and engage in Ibadah and Dua for The Ummah, the non-stop for 24hrs people somewhere in the world will be engaged in Dua for the Ummah. Now imagine millions of hands raised at the same time in Dua, millions of hearts over the world united in Dua and sincere pleading for the mercy of Allah Ta'ala. Surely the help of Allah Ta'ala will come. Hence be a part of this global effort to help the Ummah through your dua. Dua is the weapon of the Believer. Dua is the essence of Ibadah. Therefore, this is the least you can do for the Ummah. The day earmarked for every place to dedicate at least 45mins after Magrib Salaat for Dua is Thursday 11 October 2001. Here Is What You Can Do To Make This A Success 1. Ask the Imaam of your local Musjid to co-ordinate a programme of Dua for the earmarked date in your area. 2. Women folk and the old and sick who are at home should be encouraged to dedicate this time for Dua at home. 3. The Dua for those who are sick is accepted. Visit the Muslims who are sick at home or in the local Hospital. Make Dua for them and ask them to make Dua for The Ummah especially on the day and time earmarked. 4. Make Handbills and distribute in your area to encourage people to participate in the programme. 5. Visit people in your area and invite them for the programme. 6. Announce the programme on Jummah. Suggested Actions On The Day 1. Fast on the day & give Sadaqah generously. Read Istighfaar. 2. Read an abundance of nafl Salaat. 3. Join your entire community in your place of congregation before Magrib. 4. Spend +- 45 mins after Magrib Salaat on good actions e.g. Awabeen, Tilawaat and Zikr. 5. Spend the balance of the time in Dua making sincere Istighfaar and begging Allah for ease, mercy, blessing, good conditions and overcoming of all difficulties facing all Muslims throughout the world. 6. Allocate some portion of the night for Tahajjud and Dua. Let us all make a sincere effort as though this is my message and everyone else out there is assisting me in my effort and know that somewhere out there beneath the gaze of Allah, your Muslim brothers and sisters are with you and your effort. REMEMBER! PEOPLE ALL OVER THE WORLD HAVE RECEIVED THIS MESSAGE. DO YOUR PART TO SPREAD THE MESSAGE AND ALSO TO JOIN THE UMMAH IN DUA. EMAIL THIS MESSAGE TO ALL THE MUSLIMS IN YOUR ADDRESS BOOK.
