An Invitation arrived and the Beloved stepped ahead.

It was the night of humanity. Not of a mere race, a nation or a particular religion. The son of humanity was the hero. The center of attraction. The focus of everyone on the earth and skies. Angels wished and wished, but they could only wish. The Liberator of Israel, Prophet Musa, had pleaded for such a chance, but his appeal was of no good. It was the hidden desire of all the martyrs in His path. Yes, a glimpse of the Infinite being.

Prayer and supplications only rise up in the ascending route. The believers raise their hands in prayer with their face turned towards the sky.

But Miraj happened only once in the universe. An invitation arrived, from the skies to the earth. "Your Lord wishes to meet you".

A moment of supreme bliss for the past and present. Mankind had proved itself as the representative of Almighty. Angel Jibreel arrived carrying the message. Only Amina’s Beloved Son (saws) could receive it. The earth felt proud of this Hero. The sky could only watch him pass by. This time Mother Earth felt much superior to the blue sky filled with stars. After all, the Hero belonged to its soil.

The sky was full of festive mood. The moon waited eagerly. The stars were sleepless. The heaven was full of rhythm. Ecstasy was in the air. The fairytale was going to become a reality. Everyone was waiting anxiously to catch a glimpse of the ‘guest of Almighty’. Who could be this man? What has made Almighty invite this Unlettered Prophet of Arabia? They whispered among themselves.

On arriving at every heaven in the course of the journey, the angels inquired, "Who is accompanying you, Jibreel (as)?" Jibreel (as) only felt proud to travel with the ‘Leader of the two worlds’.

No writer can contain this moment of history. No speaker can describe this wonderful event. Poets and thinkers can spent their whole life trying to write volumes, yet a moment of the journey cannot be contained. Dictionaries don't have enough words to narrate this experience. Humble as ever, the hero walked. Never did he lose his etiquette, not even in the journey.

"Then he approached and came closer, and was at a distance of but two bow-lengths or (even) nearer. So did (Allah) convey the inspiration to His servant (conveyed) what he (meant) to convey." (53:8,9,10)

He proceeded ahead...

He stepped to a station where none had dared to. He was the guest of the Creator. The chief of angels, Jibreel (as) stood behind. The angel had no permission to step ahead. But here it is a HUMAN BEING. What better reason does Mankind need for its pride in being the representative of God? The Prophet had arrived at the invitation of Allah. It was the night of Al Isra and Miraj.

My intellect is poor. My pen is weak. My words are insufficient. I am helpless. This description is incomplete. Let Allah, the Most Wise and Most Powerful describe this journey of his Beloved Prophet Muhammad  in Holy Quran,

"Glory to (Allah) who did take his servant for a journey by night from Sacred Mosque to the farthest mosque whose precincts We did bless- in order that We might show him some of our signs: for He is the One who hears and sees (all things). (17:1)

"Behold! The Lote-Tree was shrouded with what shrouds. (His) sight never swerved, nor did it go wrong. For truly did he see of the signs of Lord, the Greatest" (53:16,17,18)

"Then he approached and came closer, and was at a distance of but two bow-lengths or (even) nearer. So did (Allah) convey the inspiration to His servant (conveyed) what he (meant) to convey." (53:8,9,10)

-----------------
Muhammad ki azmat ko kya poochthe Ho
ke woh saahib-e-qaba kawthain tehrein
Yeh Azmat nahi hai tho
Phir aur kya hai

Are you asking me the greatness of Muhammad (saws)?
Was he not the guest of Almighty
Is this not a sign of of his greatness?
