Assalamu 'alaikum i am Suha Iman and i am a 20 years old medical student. i have been following the discussions on this board for a couple of days now and it is just so great! i like to join in. ............what can i tell you more about myself................... i have been a Islamic sister for 20 years but it is so strange i've just recently realized that i am a muslim girl, all the time ago i behaved just like a non-believer, so that's why at the moment i am trying to read articles and books about Islam so i can make myself a 'real' muslim. i also love poems and i've just started to make poems myself. if they will be ready i will put them on the board. i hope you will like them i am very happy that i've found this board ,so now i can make a lot of nice Islamic friendships. i hope we will take a lot of advantage of each other so we will able to deal with the problems on our way to Jannat. I'm an M2 studying in Ohio, and i have finals next week, so make dua i pass :) It gets more interesting w/ each year, so there is a light at the end of that long tunnel. Thank you guys for such a nice welcome. i feel so good! may Allah reward you all for beiing so understandable and so helpfull. O i live in Holland and i'm in the second year. so i've a long way to go............ Ruqayyah, i really hope you will score excellent marks for those tests. in fact i hope you all will reach the top of the mountain that you're climbing on. inshallah. yes Suha is a name of a little star. i've got an idea tq, if you like it you can call your little one Suhayla (i love this name) it means: Smooth; Soft (ground); Fluent; Flowing (style), and her nickname can be Suha how do you like my idea????? | Asalaamu alaikum Sr Suha, welcome to the board :) Its a great place to come, to read, to learn and to share. I can completely understand what you mean about acting like a non-muslim, because if you don't know much about your deen and live in a western country then you end up taking after your western friends. I was just like you until I started learning and began on my journey towards Islam. Knowledge about your deen is like a shield that complements your iman. If you have iman without knowledge then you will be weak and likewise if you have knowledge without iman then you will be weak. All the best for your journey sister :) wasalaam, Ahmed |
