DOGs of Hell?

I was listening to a interview of two men on BBC world service from two different Islamic groups in USA. One was saying the bombing should stop because it was in the interest of US to stop it so it is our patriotic duty to tell them to stop while the other was saying it must continue.
The one who said it must continue said when asked about the 1.5 thousand civilians who have died so far from the US bombings alone, “the bombing should continue but we will remember the innocent deaths in our dua”.
This is such a statement I cannot find the words to say what I think about it. Can any one put their feelings about such a statement in words?
Why the title?
Out prophet pbh talks about a sect that would appear, he mentioned that if he were around at their time he would kill them. HE calls them the dogs of Jahunum. He mentioned their characteristics as being  “gentle towards the disbeliever and harsh towards the believer”.
America has killed over 1.5 million civilians in Iraq alone, but clearly to most people, Muslims included, Muslim lives don’t mean much, so 1.5 million is worth a lot less then 7000 Americans.

I feel a lot of people are missing the point, Muslims are trust worthy, kaffar are not. Bin ladin said he never did it, Bush al lhanatullah said he did. Why are people taking Bush’s al lahnatullah word for it.

Wasn't the reference of the dogs of hell made regarding the khawaarij?

Do you have a transcript of this talk?  I find it a little difficult to believe that there are Muslims who would say such things.

Whats so hard to believe about this? The ranks of the Muslims (especially here in the West) are in disarray. There are thousands upon thousands who don't even know where thry should place their suppport. For example, there are 'Muslims' on board some of the US warships in the Gulf right now saying 'I don't like the bombing, but Allah also knows i've got a job to do.'

I wouldn't find it surprising if this leader that NJ mentions isn't one of the very same ones who were attacking the rulers of Afghanistan back in March for ordering the destruction of the idols.

I think NJ should paste the transcript of this person's speech with his name.

it was on radio, bbc world service,  the two organisations that the men belonged to were both well known organisations, so i did not put down the mens names and organisations on purpose. I dont know if radio stations keep transcrips of interviews. but what i heard is not unique i have heard same kind of stuff loads of times so i am sure you all have. any way, i do know all Muslim labour politicians made statements supporting the attacks.

salam,

i took it that it was a non muslim who said that statement because NJ didnt specify if the speakers on the radio were muslim or not.

but if they were then i agree with kashif. it shouldnt be hard to beleive that a muslim would say this. i mean how many muslims drink, do drugs, commit zina everyday, are homosexuals etc.

its sad to see it and admit it but its happening and all us muslims can do is make dua for them......

wasalam,

Agreed sister Nouha, but this problem is quite alot more serious than your average Muslim is who mistakenly placing his allegiance in the wrong place, because it is a leader.

If the leader of an Islamic org. is publicly making statements to the effect that bombing of the Muslims is to be supported then this person at the very least has to be warned against, and if possible it needs to be checked whether he is fit to be in the position of leadership.

asalaamu alaikum,

Yeah, I'm not surprised to hear someone say something so heinous in regards to the well-being of muslims...

What can we do? I guess we should expect this in a way; it's promised to get worse in this duniya...

About asking why people are taking Bush's word for it, well, it's because muslims are wrongly branded as liars by the media and other opponents of Islam... Br. Jehad says correctly when the trustworthy party is wrongly understood to be the conspriacy-ridden, sly, conniving Bush administration...

But yeah, with 1.5 billion people and no leader, it's kind of tough on us to watch some wayward ideals by these muslims who justify innocent muslim deaths... or any innocent deaths for that matter.

But one thing remains: Bush has provided so-called proof that has satisfied a few countries; Bin Laden has allegedly and admittedly done terrorist activity in the past, which puts his credibility on question to the West, as well as he has seemed to act as the spokesperson for the "other side" of the WTC incident. And that is why his word isn't trusted.  There are no grounds to disprove Bush either (or no ground smade available), so far only far-fetched-sounding Jewish conspiracy theories that no Jews showed up to the WTC... one problem is that all of the proof and evidence, as well as private investigation by muslim-backing agents, is not being allowed to be carried out.

I think it's a tough call; Bush is most likely the liar (because of his entire moral fabric), and although we should give our brothers at Al-Quaeda the benefit of the doubt, we should also be careful when we say something concrete (my opinion doesn't match everyone elses, I know that) about those muslims being innocent. We shouldn't judge men, that is for Allah Subhana to do, yet it is important to discern based on actions in the past, as well as actions and attitudes in the present. asalaamu alaikum. abdullah,.

 Subhan'Allah, Muslims are turning on each other left and right. The Imam we have here (a famous Imam) is suporting the U.S., shook the presidents hand and everything, even walking into a church behind a man who was carrying a huge cross!! The Ummah is at its all time lowest, Allahu Alim,we cant get any lower than this. As one Madinian said "how many muslims drink, do drugs, commit zina everyday, are homosexuals etc." I believe that so many Muslims are forgetting or ignoring what Allah Subhana'wa Ta'aala has said:
~~~~~
Never will the Jews or the Christians be satisfied with thee unless thou follow their form of religion.  Say: "The guidance of Allah that is the (only) guidance."  Wert thou to follow their desires after the knowledge which hath reached thee then wouldst thou find neither protector nor helper against Allah.
(Surah 2 Ayah 120)
O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: they are but friends and protectors to each other.  And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them.  Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust.
(Surah 5 Ayah 51)
Let not the believers take for friends or helpers unbelievers rather than believers; if any do that in nothing will there be help from Allah; except by way of precaution that ye may guard yourselves from them.  But Allah cautions you (to remember) Himself for the final goal is to Allah.
(Surah 3 Ayah 28)
O ye who believe! take not into your intimacy those outside your ranks; they will not fail to corrupt you. They only desire your ruin: rank hatred has already appeared from their mouths; what their hearts conceal is far worse.  We have made plain to you the Signs if ye have wisdom.
(Surah 3 Ayah 118)
Ah! ye are those who love them but they love you not though ye believe in the whole of the Book.  When they meet you they say "We believe"; but when they are alone they bite off the very tips of their fingers at you in their rage.  Say: "Perish in your rage; Allah knoweth well all the secrets of the heart."
(Surah 3 Ayah 119)
If aught that is good befalls you it grieves them; but if some misfortune overtakes you they rejoice at it.  But if ye are constant and do right not the least harm will their cunning do to you for Allah compasseth round about all that they do
(Surah 3 Ayah 120)
Your (real) friends are (no less than) Allah His Apostle and the (fellowship of) believers those who establish regular prayers and regular charity and they bow down humbly (in worship).
(Surah 5 Ayah 55)
O ye who believe! take not for friends and protectors those who take your religion for a mockery or sport whether among those who received the Scripture before you or among those who reject faith; but fear ye Allah if ye have Faith (indeed).
When ye proclaim your call to prayer they take it (but) as mockery and sport; that is because they are a people without understanding.
Say: "O People of the Book! do ye disapprove of us for no other reason than that we believe in Allah and the revelation that hath come to us and that which came before (us) and (perhaps) that most of you are rebellious and disobedient?"
(Surah Ayat 57-59)
If only the people of the Book had believed and been righteous We should indeed have blotted out their iniquities and admitted them to gardens of Bliss.
(Surah 5 Ayah 65)
