What is it and why take part?



Islam Awareness Week (IAW) is an opportunity for Muslims to promote awareness of Islam amongst the wider British society and to remove prejudices that promote Islamophobia. In light of the fallout from the tragic events in the US the success of this event is more important than ever before. It is a unique opportunity involving everyone throughout Britain, irrespective of their school of thought or group affiliation to come forward and join hands in practical efforts to rid Britain of Islamophobia.



Every organisation or person who takes part in IAW will have their name and the details of their activity posted on the IAW website. This information together with contact details will also be included in the press pack that will be handed out at the launch at the House of Commons. Please forward the details (by email if possible) of your IAW activity; Date/Time; venue; name of your organisation and contact details using the information below:
