[slm] WHO WANTS TO BE A MU'MIN II Insha'Allah the contest will start this weekend.  One question a week will be posted for 10 weeks.  Answers are due the following Sunday at 11:59 pm EST (Eastern Standard Time).  There will be no life lines (i.e. ask a friend, poll the audience, or 50/50).  Every person for themself.  You can use any book or internet resource, but you can't ask anyone to help you (i.e. local imaam, friend, Jannah, etc.) IM me your answer. Can you handle it? ;) Go competing mu'mins. :)

Wa'alaikumussalam warahmatullah, So... does that mean there won't be any team games? And... if some poor soul decides to leave the country... she'll be forfeited again? :) Just messin' :) Anyways... just wanna say that, I would like to sponsor a small gift for the winner. [slm] I just saw the first question! Bhaloo, man, you should be a high school teacher!  Handing out assignments.  I thought this was supposed to be a *knowledge* based competition.  We actually have to do *work* to get points??   Sheeeesh. :)

slm Mash Allah Brother Arshad!! A competition where new reverts and maybe even non-Muslims can take part in! I would advise anyone and everyone to take part in this competition. Point scoring aside, it is a fantastic learning opportunity and should not be missed! well done Brother Arshad and thank you Jazak Allahu Khayrun! wasalaam eleanor PS: watch out "seasoned and knowlegeable" Muslims on the board! slm Some people have already answered the question, alhumdullilah.  All the people that were talking about how good they would do haven't answered yet, I wonder why ???   Make sure you answer all the questions and follow the instructions in the question. :)

slm Ok, maybe those people that did poorly on a question, or didn't bother answering it, I won't put that up so they are embarassed.  But I'll put up answers from people that got a 4 or 5 on it.   Does that sound better?

slm As a reminder, part 2 of the question says 50 to 150 words.  Remember to make sure your answer fits this criteria, otherwise you will lose a point.

slm I have briefly looked over the answers and will insha'Allah post them up here.  Many people did well.  Everyone that participated did better then Seven and Abdul Basir.  Participation was kind of down for this question, so maybe the next question will be made easier to encourage more participation, insha'Allah. Insha'Allah I'll put that question up sometime later in the night on the 19th.

slm Results will be posted shortly, as soon as the late people submit their answers, by tomorrow at the LATEST. Question #2 is up now, there is a bonus part to it. ;) Don't worry, there will be difficult questions, in the coming weeks. :)
