Water, Ramadan, and tactical difficulties

Asalaamualiakum,
Thanks to everyone who has posted about my last question, it has been very helpful to me. I have since found a decent place to go, and made the happy discovery that the warehouse becomes virtually deserted during the 5:30 break and the 8:00 dinner:)

So, here's a new question... On the days that I have worked so far, I have had to consume 1.5 liters of water to keep from being dehydrated. What can I do about this problem during Ramadan? It will only a be a problem one day a week, since I start work at 3:30 every day except Fridays, but I can't imagine getting through 8 or 9 hours without drinking on those days.

Thanks everyone!

Hi Tom. It will be hard at first to adjust, by Allah's grace you only have one difficult day. You can stick out the 8/9 hours without water believe me. I used to work in McDonalds and had to run around for 8/9 hours with nothing to drink. It gets really hot behind that counter but when you think of Allah and why you are doing it, then you stay strong. It's really only four days in the whole month that you will find it so difficult, so give it a shot, for Allah's sake. Insha Allah you'll be fine.

I'll be thinking of ya bro', as a fellow convert.
take care and keep us updated.

whooops I forgot! If you start to feel dizzy or ill without water then you may drink water, but make up the missed day's fast after Ramadan! Allah never wants us to do anything which is unbearable! So take it easy :)

Wa'alaikum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

Everything that eleanor said. Just to add, drink *lots* of water right before fajr and right after maghrib when you break your fast.
