| Osama admits to Sept 11 attacks LONDON - Osama bin Laden, in a video-message circulated among his supporters, has admitted for the first time his Al-Qaeda terrorist group carried out the Sept 11 attacks on the United States, the Sunday Telegraph reported. The video would form the centre-piece of evidence against Osama, to be released by Britain and the US later this week, it added. In the message, Osama confessed 'history should be a witness that we are terrorists. Yes, we kill their innocents and this is legal religiously and logically'. In footage shot in Afghanistan at the end of October a smiling Osama described the World Trade Center as a 'legitimate target'. The hijackers were 'blessed by Allah'. He said: 'The Twin Towers were legitimate targets, they were supporting US economic power. 'What was destroyed were not only the towers, but the towers of morale in that country,' he said. The killing of at least 4,537 people was justified because they were working for the American system. Osama also warned other nations to stay out of the conflict. According to the Telegraph, he also admitted for the first time to using video pronouncements to incite terrorism - a danger the British and US governments had warned broadcasters of. The newspaper said it was significant that he used 'I' and 'we' to claim responsibility for the attacks. In the past, he has spoken of the attackers only in the third person. Osama has issued four videos since Sept 11 and had always denied responsibility. | slm There was some sort of alliance made between hollywood and the US government. Do you think through the use of hollywood magic they will doctor up some made up video to gain support? ??? There is supposed to be something released tomorrow. |

| salam, this is definatly a hoax and hollywood and the american media have the power to creat their own osama bin laden and say whatever he said in those tapes, i didnt catch LA law last night, please explain kathy..... wasalam, nouha:) |

Normally Osama gave video tapes and interviews to Al Jazeera TV to address Arabic audience in particular. And if I am not wrong he would prefer to give to Roberts Fisk as had been last time since he report balance reporting as against others. The interview other day given to Hamid Mir of Jang happened to be by chance, I would assume. Hamid Mir himself said on BBC that the persons who took him to the place were asking him whether he is Robert Fisk. Therefore most probably the people who came to fetch Mr.Mir were expecting Robert Fisk. |
