From Albequerque to Zheijeing, this religion houses a diversity of traditions, cultures, and people. What is this faith? What are its beliefs? What is it about? It is our hope that Islam Awareness Week answers these questions. All this week, we invite you to experience different aspects of the Islamic culture with informative lectures, open discussions, an Islamic art exhibit, and even free cultural deserts in the Union. We think this is best way to show people how beautiful the culture of Islam really is. The word Islam comes from 'salaam', meaning peace.
