THE SO CALLED ISLAMIFIED MUSIC CAN BE A TOOL TO MOTIVATE OUR MUSLIM YOUTH to go to reall source which QURAN AND SUNNAH? | wa alaikum us-salaam wa rahmatullah Two things came to mind when i heard the song: 1> The similarity in the message/purpose behind this project and that of various Churches in the West: seeking to make their religion more attractive to their youth via modern-day music (and in the case of some, holding concerts in churches). 2> The statements of the Prophet: "The Hour will not be established till my followers copy the deeds of the previous nations and follow them very closely, span by span, and cubit by cubit (i.e., inch by inch)." It was said, "O Allah's Apostle! Do you mean by those, the Persians and the Byzantines?" The Prophet said, "Who can it be other than they?" And also: "You will follow the ways of those nations who were before you, span by span and cubit by cubit (i.e., inch by inch) so much so that even if they entered a lizard hole, you would follow them." We said, "O Allah's Apostle! (Do you mean) the Jews and the Christians?" He said, "Whom else?" [Volume 9, Book 92] Personally, i have trouble distinguishing between people who wholly back methods like this on the one hand, and the various pro-democracy 'Islamic' groups that are mired in the UK/US. Its quite defeatist if you ask me. We're adopting 'their' methods to achieve our goals, does that make sense? And didn't Ibn Khaldun say that the symbol of a conquered nation is that they start to resemble the conquerors? They have their music, and masha'Allah we have our own too now.
