| [slm] I have been reading here and there about brothers and sisters benefitting from attending Quran halaqa's in their mosques and communities. Now being in India, i didn't had the opportunity to attend one. For those who have/are attending such halaqa's, pls let us know your experience and how it has helped you. How does a halaqa takes place ? From what i understand is, there is a moderator and a group of bro/sis. The moderator is generally a scholar/or a knowledgable person in the community. Every week a surah(or few ayat's) is selected and studied individually by the members of the group. And when the meet, each one of them presents what they understood from it. The moderator would correct if anyone of them is wrong. Is this how it goes on ? Can't we have a on-line halaqa( e-halaqa ) in this board (or thru e-mails) ? like we had few group Quran memorizations (br Kashif, can't it be re-started ?). There are many knowledgable people around here who can moderate such a halaqa. What do you all think ? Post your inputs.
