| [slm] For those of you who haven't already heard YM (Young Muslim) Sisters are holding daily tafsir classes online [sisters only]. The class is held by sister Iman Badawi. It's every morning for the entire month of Ramadhan. They are covering 10 juz--right now they're in juz 5 (surah an-Nisaa). Sorry, I know it's kind of late but I just started going myself like 2 days ago. InshaAllah try to come--it's such an awesome way to start your day :) The class is held via paltalk. | salam :) I just registered and I got the pal installed. But I'm wondering if I need a microphone and web cam for this? Is it interactive, like video conferencing? I don't have a microphone, but I do have speakers and a web cam but a slow modem connection so buffering will be pretty slow. And could someone tell me what time the classes are in GMT? wa'salam Hania :) |

You don't have to have a mic, I don't have one either. And don't worry bout your modem--this class isn't like video conferencing. If there's such a thing as audio conferencing than this would be it--hehe Just have your speakers on, she gives the lesson we just listen if we have questions we save them for the end..[we can type in the room] I think GMT time has a 6 hour difference from my time (central), so I *think* it would be 12 pm [12 GMT] for you--Allahu Alam -please verify that Hope to see you guys there inshaAllah :) P.S. Hania you can test to see if your system is compatible with Paltalk by going into one of the rooms. I heard of one girl who wasn't able to attend because her computer wouldn't cooperate :D |
