| Assalamu 'Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh *Jumps into the board* Ermm..I better walk! Tiptoed into the area Okay. I am suppose to introduce myself here. This is the toughest task even my boss don't ask abt who I am and she's not the one who interviewed me. *Focus* Before I started typing this out. I had a lengthy (exaggerating) discussion with Kak Barr on what is appropriate to be written. To all who's not from our side of the planet. Kak means Sis short for Kakak which means sister which of course is the long version of sis. *Focus* ( my way of distracting myself from other distractions which always distract me) Ermm... I dunno..what should I say. Why 9th Muharram? I just found out I was born on that date according to the Islamic calendar which happens to be the same day on Gregorian calendar, referring to the ninth. What is totally unique is in Islamic calendar, I was born on the first month of the year whereas in the Gregorian calendar I was born on the last month. Don't ask me the year, but I'm younger than Kak Barr. What I know abt this beloved community and things I will do after reading almost all the threads on each section even the archive!! (Yes, I've fallen in love with the community here, in fact I am addicted to reading the board even before I started posting!!!) - Albany is somehow related to mafia and cow. Does that mean mafia is doing cow business or the cows are following mafia’s footsteps . No idea. - Jannah is the Den mother, her sis 7 whose brother is lightiningnite ,sorry abt the spelling, who is deep and they have another bro who is suppose to be shy - bhaloo/arshad - you mention something abt liking nasyid esp malay ones..so I'm translating them. Btw Raihan has another album, and of of their member (the one who wears the spectacles has passed away. Al-fatihah) - Sis Jenna ..ur website is like...whoa!!! I've got something for you - There's a need for children's materials, and a bunch of sisters (not forgetting bros) here are teachers or teaching lil kids. So, I went and look into my old school books found a few notes, so I'm sharing them later - Started cooking this year, even have a little food business mainly baking cookies and cakes, started because I was self-appointed wedding planner to a friend's engagement/wedding so I'll be posting some recipes in the..ermm that area that talks abt food and stuff (I have short term memory) - Something abt a bro who ventured to the sister's land and got hit and attacked..and then something abt bro Arsalan using his basketball talent.. - Kak Barr... if the Albany has their own complex, and the British has their Souq...how come us South East Asian are not doing anything??!!! Combined my country, your lil country, and Indonesia..heck!! we have large community. We have work to do. Some other unimportant things - I read in cnn.com that they're gonna use MTV to spread the "freedom culture of Western to the Afghanistan and the Arab world.." etc etc.. at first I was mad, then I thought..hey...why not hire sis seven,dhikr,laboogie..and the whole albanyian!!!! And the cows too!! - I once put this in another discussion board. So, I’m pasting. Maybe I did bad at it. “(You think Muslim women need to be liberated? I am a muslim woman. I work in an American company. I wear my hijab, I pray,I fast, I ride my motorbike to work <now I own a car!!! Alhamdulillah> , I vote, I shop, I can speak English!!! I work on shift, night day..don't even know the time. My mom live with me. I pay my own rent. Do I need to be liberated? Maybe I do in your eyes? Maybe I need to bare my body, party all night, have boyfriend, embrace the MTV culture, then in your eyes I'll be liberated. But I only have 1 God, I don't need so many Gods, I don't need Man's Illusion of God. To you is your way of life, your religion; To me, is my way of life. But at the same time, let's just live harmoniously, with tolerance.)” Important thing I need help :- - If any of you is a physiotheraphist/working in rehabilitation/caring for sick ppl, pls past any available information to me. Need them for my mom Gee other ppl just write.."hi , my name is <>, I am from <>, I loved this community". I write an essay??!!!?? Better stopped typing. Wassalam. |

| Thank You for the warm welcome. Well, if you think my posting of introduction to myself is ermm.. different, well I am just plain wierd in my normal life. Wierd, but totally unnoticable. I didn't know Sis Barr until I read the threads in here. I was contemplating on what exactly one does after receiving "please reply this email.." in the email that we received after we registered. *I* didn't want to do the wrong thing, yanno. This place has a city constitution! I guess I long for a meaningful religious discussion( but I won't restrict myself just to that, love the Sister's Thread. Hilarious!) After moving to a new place, ditched old friends (long story), found new friends, found myself, humbled by Allah's Compassion, Love and Protection for me, it's time to return to the journey of acquiring THE knowledge. I take this place as a stepping stone, I read other's experiences and look to my own. It's about time. I cannot waste time on self pity anymore. It has been 6 yrs of going through so many depressions, test by Allah, hatred and anger. Now is time to start being responsible, being a MUSLIM and Alhamdullilah, His Test made me learnt, appreciate life more, to look at people not just by their outter appearances, but what's inside. Gee..there I go again writing an essay. |

| Oh no!!! Expectation!!!! And I have only post 4/5 . But InsyaAllah, what information I have or learnt, I will share.
