I tried them yesterday.  They're GREAT!!!  They're not even like cookies, they're like little flat cakes or madeleines.  SO good!
I wonder if they would work with something else besides bananas, like marmelade or somthing???

Bismillah and salam

this is my favorite banana nut loaf recipe. it is moist and it doesn't compromise the banana or nut taste. it took me a long time to find the right one. Most have a strange middle of loaf taste. this one is very good. Someimtes I add the vanilla, or cinnomin, or allspice or nutmeg. Depends on the mood or what it will go with. Hope you will like it.

Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup white sugar
1/3 cup butter, softened
2 eggs
1 cup mashed banana
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Directions
make with love
Grease loaf pan.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
In a large mixing bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
Add butter, eggs, nuts, and mashed banana.
Beat until well blended.
Pour batter into prepared pan and bake about 43 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the loaf comes out clean.
