| Salaamun Alaikum, I have a quick question.. why do we go anti clock wise direction around the kaabah? Besides Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) doin it.. theres special reasoning behind it.. anyone know? |

The heart is centered slightly to the left in the human being. This is why the tawaf is done with the left side facing the house of Allah SWT. Some of the scholars have said that the heart inclines towards the left and so the purpose for this [anti-clockwiseness] is that the heart is inclining towards the kaabah. Side note: Also, the Arabic language is a movement from left to right writing should be towards the heart [the whole purpose of writing is to affect the heart]. w'Allahu a3lam |
