Assalaam Alaikum Wrt Wbt, Eid Mubarak from Dimashq!!!!  We are having eid either saturday or sunday inshaAllah. I miss everyone very much. Ramadan here has been great but nothing beats ramadan with your family in your own community. It's been a pretty awesome experience being in a Muslim country. We've visited maybe over 15 different masjid's across the city. And Lailatul Qadr you should have seen that!!! It was as if a carnival opened up in front of every masjid, shawarma stands and sweet bread sellers and everything, masajids packed with thousands and thousands of people across the city. It was pretty crazy. We actually went to do lailatul qadr at a few masajid's and they were packed!!! literally not a single place to put your head in sujood.. we prayed a few outside and then went to Ummiyyee where they didn't really do any qiyaam, just sung some nasheed and stuff but then we prayed fajr and came home. The nice thing about living in a Muslim country is that you can walk to the masjid for all the prayers and it's really nice to pray in jamaa. There was one masjid I liked the most called Badr the recitor is trained in Saudi so has the shaatri style!! but on the last night he just did 3 ayahs per rakah... so sad ;(( anyway please keep me in all your duas... appreciate the fact that you're with your family and friends.. and make dua for all the foreign students here who left their communities only for the sake of Allah to learn the deen and spread it. My first Ramadhan and Eid in America, I cried :(:(:(:( The spirit was just not the same...but you are right, once you have a community its nice. Salaam brothers and sisters As I type this at abt 12am Saturday, 15th December 2001, I feel immeasurably sad.  Ramadan is passing...and somehow I know I have not done the best I could to grab all the opportunity ALlah has set aside for us in Ramadan.  I wonder...will I see the next Ramadan ? Wallahualam bissawab, one can only dua. So, Eid Mubarak to my brothers and sisters in Madinat Al-Muslimeen.  My dua that your Ramadan has been blessed and your Syawal be wonderful.  Even though most of us are miles and miles apart, when you read this, close your eyes for a moment and embrace the powerful feeling of a united Muslim community founded on unity and love, love for ALlah, love for each other...and love for peace. Thank you for allowing me to experience the warmth and care that is so much a part of this board.  If anyone happens to be in Singapore or Malaysia, please, my home is open to u. Wassalam.

Assalamu Alaikum, EID MUBARAK to everyone too. Alhamdulillah it's Eid tomorrow, Insha'Allah we will live to see it. This blessed month has passed once again, and it's time to reflect on what we learned and what we were able to achieve this Ramadhan. Did we better ourselves as a mu'min, did we connect with Allah-u Subhana Wata'ala, did we do more good deeds than bad, and questions like that. Our Sheikh, Sheikh Mukhtar was giving the Friday khutbah yesterday, and he was saying what a loss the ppl who didn't try to better themselves spiritually, who didn't perform more I3badah, who treated Ramadhan as any other month, and similar situations. Is that true for us too??? Insha'Allah we will keep the good habits that we acquired and rid ourselves of the bad. Ya Allah, plz accept our prayers, our fastings, our dua', the I3badah that we do. We only do it for your sake, and for your sake only. You are the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful and Most Compassionate, plz forgive us for our sins. Ameen. Ok, I'm not going to get too emotional now. Anyways, EID MUBARAK to everyone again. Wassalamu Alaikum, Betul

I loved the last few days of Ramzan it was so kewl, please remember that while we may be enjoying the many halwas and smiles please make dua for our brothers and sisters elsewhere in the world. Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatuallahi Wabarakatuhu!,               Alhamdulilah,it is with great pleasure to wish you and your loving families,your beloved ones,your greater families of your Ummah a happy Eidul Fitr. May Allah accept our Fast of Ramadhan and all our Ebadaat(Worship) for His sake and Admits us into Jannah and save us from the Hell Fire by His Infinite Mercy. Aameen! From Sharjah ( near Dubai) in UAE,It was a strange impression to hear the takbir at 6~ in the morning,sitting with 10.000 around you,the light morning breeze blowing slowly on the faces, while the sun was playing hide and seek in the pinkish skies, the hearts were quivering slowly touched by HIS(swt) praises, what a blessing it was compare to the Eid in Canada.Al hamdulilah. I apologise to all for i couldn't remember the names of all the bro's and sisters of Medina except a few,but i made dua for all for you are my greater family,wa al hamdulilah. Walaikum Salaam.
