In the name of Allah The Merciful The Compassionate

Holiday

Alsalam Alaikum Wa Rahamtu Allahi Wa BarakatuHu.
May peace be upon you and Allah's Mercy and His Blessings.

May all of you have a happy and blessed eid.

Allah, the Lord of all seasons and the One that
alternates the days and nights, has made this ramadhan very
easy for us. May Allah accept from all the believers that made
an effort to fast, in order to please Allah.

Allah has made Ramadhan a holy month. Allah is the One
that makes things holy and unholy.  Allah also makes certain days
holy. These are the Holidays of Allah. Allah has made to the
two eids as holidays for the believers. Allah gives the joy
to the believers on that day; all the goodness is from Allah.

Some people take some birthdays of famous people as holidays.
We must keep in mind that these famous people have no power
whatsoever, and that it is Allah that has all the power. If one
calls on these famous people, these famous people cannot answer
the call. They do not have the ability to do any good or harm
to anything. Allah can answer the calls. Allah gives from places
where a person could not imagine. These famous people, whom some
may call upon, have no idea that they are being called upon. It is
Allah that hears and answers the prayers.

Allah also made a holiday for the disciples of Jesus son of
Mary (May Allah's peace be upon him). They said to Jesus son
of Mary (May Allah's peace be upon him), "Oh Jesus the son of Mary!
Can your Lord send down to us a table set from heaven?"
They requested Jesus son of Mary (May Allah's peace be upon him)
to ask Allah to send a table filled with food for them.

Jesus son of Mary (May Allah's peace be upon him) said to
them: "Fear Allah if ye have faith." Jesus son of Mary
(May Allah's peace be upon him) told them to be content with
what Allah has given to them, and not be greedy for food.

They said to Jesus son of Mary (May Allah's peace be upon him),
that the reason they ask for the table is so that they could eat
food miraculously provided by Allah. They said they wanted to eat
this food and satisfy their hearts with it. They said they wanted to see
this great miracle from Allah, to increase their belief of the
truthfulness of Jesus son of Mary (May Allah's peace be upon him).
They wanted to be witnesses to this great miracle.

Jesus son of Mary (May Allah's peace be upon him), prayed
to Allah to send down a miraculous table from the sky. Jesus son of
Mary (May Allah's peace be upon him) wanted that occasion to be a
holiday for his disciples, as well as for later generations. Jesus
son of Mary (May Allah's peace be upon him) wanted this to be sign
(proof) from Allah, the Most excellent of sustainers.

Allah then sent this table to them, and told them that if
they rejected after this, He would punish them like He never
punished anyone else before. After seeing such a great miracle
from Allah, if they rejected, they would certainly incur a
great punishment from Allah.

Hadith in Bukhari:

5.268: ------- Narrated Aisha: That once Abu Bakr came to her on
the day of 'Id-ul-Fitr or 'Id ul Adha while the Prophet was
with her and there were two girl singers with her, singing
songs of the Ansar about the day of Buath. Abu Bakr said
twice. "Musical instrument of Satan!" But the Prophet said,
"Leave them Abu Bakr, for every nation has an 'Id (i.e.
festival) and this day is our 'Id."
     I
My dear brothers and sisters, let us be happy on our
holidays that Allah has made for us. Let us be thankful to Him.
He is Our Lord that has given us much good. Let us enjoy these
wonderful occasions made for us by Allah. May all of us have a
happy and blessed eid.

Alsalam Alaikum Wa Rahamtu Allahi Wa BarakatuHu.
May peace be upon you and Allah's Mercy and His Blessings.
