| slm Al-humdullillah, Zach (my puppet) and I are becoming popular. In the last month we have presented Islam/Ramadan to different groups including a church and school classes. The PTA resident called me last night and suggested strongly that I market my presentation and send out letters to the area schools to teach about Islam. At a teacher's meeting they were very suprised and delighted over "finding" me. ( Tee hee- I am just to big to miss!) She said that the schools do pay alot for speakers and I should do this- because the teachers were really impressed- masha Allah. Does anyone have experience with this? They asked for a proposal and rate. How about a standard letter? Does anyone know anyone that actually goes out and speaks- and gets paid for it? Advice would be greatfully welomed. My first inclination was not to charge- but Mary's husband and brothers are starting a dawah center. I would love to use the monies to buy blocks, and letters and the floor Arabic puzzles for the public museum here. They would like to have a Children's hands on Islamic exhibit!
