I'm getting MARRIED!

asalamau alaikum, I left Toronto this morning and am in warm Trinidad and Tobago right now, And our nikkah (me and Sadiya) is on Thursday Insha'Allah! Please make dua for the two of us. As well, please make dua for my parents (since this is very hard on them) as well as her parents Insha'Allah! Finally, I'll get some real knowledge and THEN jump into the marriage threads lol Praise be to Allah SWT, Lord of All Worlds, Subhaan Allahil Azeem! So I guess I'll se y'all in a week Insha'Allah, I love you all, each and every one of you, I am thankful to be getting married! Make a dua as well for very own dear Bro Hanif, thanks for being there for me. asalaamu alaikum. abdullah,. (;-):-)) p.s.  I look forward to some good marriage-thread participation and Insha'Allah a new memeber for our jannah.org family (but one addict out of two is enough :). lol

asalaamu alaikum, the nikkah was yesterday... Allhumdulillah it was good, but the day went by soooo fast I stayed up so late the night before with Sadiya's brothers and praying and stuff that I slept in late... lol There was a lot of last-minute stuff going on- both she and I still had to buy clothes... but I had stayed with her brothers the whole time and I had NO idea what her parents were planning I was kinda nervous... ok i lied, real nervous :) Then, I bought a nice kurta with a long green jacket thing, came back after a full day of shopping, and the house had been completely cleaned and hired workers were around the place setting up food, and sound, and stuff and the place was bustling with her family members.   I then wen to get ready and shower and the funny thing is that the guest bathroom door can be seen from the main area where the nikkah was to take place. The time of the nikkah was supposed to be mughrib, and it ended up I was in the shower too long, and when I peeked my head out the bathroom door, all the guests were staring at me, waiting for me to come out lol I felt so dumb. Anywas, Jazak Allahu Khairun all for your well wishes and duas, the Walima is on sunday the 30th Insha'Allah... this feeling of being someone else's is definitely a new feeling, and a gift.  I hope I never really "get used to it" lol. Now, I was not a shy guy before, but I feel SOOOOOOOO shy now... lol Whenever I would look at a non-mehram young girl or thought someone was pretty, I would look to the ground and think "astag'ferlah"... but  now, to actually not be ashamed to look at her in front of all these elders... that's definitely a funny feeling... I'll tell you guys all about the Walima later... Trinidad and Tobago is a beautiful country... we are even thinking to move down here cause its like East Meets West- The technology of Canada, the culture of India, and a unique presence of beaches, palm trees and tropical weather! So, I am a married man masha'Allah!  asalaamu alaikum. abdullah,. ASSING:  I am in Couva, which is Cental Trinidad, going to either Couva mosque where Sadiya's uncle is imam and/or Monroe Road masjid.

Assalamu Alaikum Everyone I just sat here and read this entire thread with Abdullah...yes, this is his *WIFE* :)) .....Sadiya and I just wanted to say JazaakAllahu Khair for all your good wishes and thoughts. We will remember all of you in our duas too! So, today was our walima...There was a lot of ppl...and lotsa good food too! :) It was pretty tiring greeting ppl after ppl for 6hrs straight, but I must say it feels really FREE to finally be married to Abdullah. I feel like Im actually living that hadith that Marriage is indeed completing half your faith. I feel stronger and ready to face whatever challenges Allah SWT places before us. I feel at peace...and contented, that Ive found my life partner with whom I can be a better muslim and live a fulfilling life... Well, I just wanted to send salaams to all, and thank you for your good wishes and duas...
