Assalamu Alaikum waRahmatullaHi waBarakatuHu,

Insha'Allah I'm going to try to post daily Islamic sayings/quotes. Insha'Allah they'll have a positive influence on us all. Ameen.
Here is the first:

I seek refuge in Allah from knowledge that brings no wisdom, from a heart that lacks kindness, from desires that bring discontent, and from supplications that go unanswered.

-The Prophet Muhammad, as reported by Abu Hurairah

Wassalamu Alaikum,

I'm sooo sorry for not keeping up to date with this. I had a little problem with my computer. Insha'Allah i'm going to try to keep up with this daily.

Every morning two angels come down from the Heaven. One says, "O Allah! Reward all those who give in Your cause," while the other says, "O Allah! Uproot every miser who withholds."

-The Prophet Muhammad, as reported by Abu Hurairah

If they charge thee with falsehood, say: "My work to me, and yours to you! ye are free from responsibility for what I do, and I for what ye do!"

Whenever a transgressor is praised, the Almighty Allah becomes enraged, and the Throne shudders in dismay.

-The Prophet Muhammad [saw], as reported by Anas bin Malik

this one was a little short, so here's another:

Allah exalted two kinds of people above others: those who spend in the cause of the Truth, and the judicious who impart their wisdom to others.

-The Prophet Muhammad [saw], as reported by Nayeem bin Mas'ud

Blessed is He Who made constellations in the skies, and placed therein a Lamp and a Moon giving light; and it is He Who made the Night and the Day to follow each other: for such as have the will to celebrate His praises or to show their gratitude.

-Qur'an, The Criterion, Surah 25:61-62

I would like to apologize for not being able to post yesterday. I was out for quite a while yesterday and unfortunately I didn't have time. Please accept my apologies.

Here is one for yesterday:

A Bedouin came to the Prophet and said, "Tell me of such a deed as will make me enter Paradise, if I do it." The Prophet (pbuh) said, "Worship Allah, and worship none along with Him, offer the (five) prescribed compulsory prayers perfectly, pay the compulsory Zakat, and fast the month of Ramadan." The Bedouin said, "By Him, in Whose Hands my life is, I will not do more than this." When he (the Bedouin) left, the Prophet said, "Whoever likes to see a man of Paradise, then he may look at this man."

-Hadith narrated by Abu Huraira

Here is the one for today:

Say: "Call upon Allah, or call upon Rahman: by whatever name ye call upon Him, (it is well): for to Him belong the Most Beautiful Names. Neither speak thy Prayer aloud, nor speak it in a low tone, but seek a middle course between."

-Qur'an, Al-Isra , Surah 17:110

PS. When "prayer" is mentioned in this ayah, it is the salah or is it supplication?

A man asked the Prophet , "What sort of deeds or (what qualities of) Islam are good?" The Prophet replied, "To feed (the poor) and greet those whom you know and those whom you do not Know."

-Hadith narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr, as related by Al-Bukhari

And make not Allah's (name) an excuse in your oaths against doing good, or acting rightly, or making peace between persons; for Allah is One Who heareth and knoweth all things.

-Qur'an, Al-Baqara, Surah 2:224

And when they listen to the revelation received by the Messenger, thou wilt see their eyes overflowing with tears, for they recognise the truth: they pray: "Our Lord! we believe; write us down among the witnesses."

-Qur'an, Al-Ma'idah, Surah 5:83

And recite (and teach) what has been revealed to thee of the Book of thy Lord: none can change His Words, and none wilt thou find as a refuge other than Him.

-Qur'an, Al-Kahf, Surah 18:27

The visions now revealed to you,
once they seemed absurd to you.
From ten prisons His bounty released you.
Make not the desert a prison for you.

Allah doth wish to make clear to you and to show you the ordinances of those before you; and (He doth wish to) turn to you (In Mercy): And Allah is All-knowing, All-wise.

Fear is a state of darkness in which the soul wanders, bewildered, seeking help, and then comes hope as a ray of light, and grace prevails.
