Bismillahirrahmaanirraheem! Assalaamuaalaikum Wa Rahmathullahi Wa Barakaathuhu!! All Praises and Thanks Be To Allah the Rabb of the worlds. We Praise Him and seek His Help Alone in every affair of our life, rely on Him and He is All-Sufficient for us.I seek refuge in Allahu Ta'ala Rabb of Aalameen from the evil of my own self and the satan who was ungreatful to the favours of Allahu Ta'ala the Most High.May Peace and blessing of Allahu Ta'ala be upon our noble prophet(saws), his family and his Companions and all those who follow him till the Day of Judgement.I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allahu Ta'ala the Most High and that Muhammad(saws) is His slave and Messenger, an Ummi who conveyed the Message of Allah in the manner He(swt) wished. I pray to Allah that this finds everyone of u in a state when you all are seeking Help from Allah, making repentence to Him and Hoping for His Mercy Alone and ur hearts filled with fear of Allah the Most High... "And [Ibrahim's (Abraham)] invoking (of Allah) for his father's forgiveness was only because of a promise he [Ibrahim (Abraham)] had made to him (his father). But when it became clear to him [Ibrahim (Abraham)] that he (his father) is an enemy to Allah, he dissociated himself from him. Verily Ibrahim (Abraham) was Al-Awwah (has fifteen different meanings but the correct one seems to be that he used to invoke Allah with humility, glorify Him and remember Him much), and was forbearing. (Tafsir Al-Qurtubi). " Surah At-Tauba Chapter 9 Verse 114. Ibraheem(AS) loved his father even when his father Azar had warned him to go away lest he'd stone him . "He (the father) said: "Do you reject my gods, O Ibrahim (Abraham)? If you stop not (this), I will indeed stone you. So get away from me safely before I punish you." Surah Maryam Chapter 19 Verse 46. Hence he continued to invoke Allah for forgiveness of his father but this love that he had for his father was subservient to the Love of Allah the Most High and the proof of this is the saying of Allah the Most High... "...But when it became clear to him [Ibrahim (Abraham)] that he (his father) is an enemy to Allah, he dissociated himself from him." Turn around the pages of this Blessed Book of Allah to witness the love prophet Noah(AS) had for his son who was taken away by the wave, or say the wave which was not an ordinary wave but the wave in the form of torment which prophet Noah(AS) knew well. " The son replied: "I will betake myself to a mountain, it will save me from the water." Nuh (Noah) said: "This day there is no saviour from the Decree of Allah except him on whom He has mercy." And a wave came in between them, so he (the son) was among the drowned. " Surah Hud Chapter 11 Verse 43. Still the mercy and love Allah had placed in his heart to his son made him say.... "And Nuh (Noah) called upon his Lord and said, "O my Lord! Verily, my son is of my family! And certainly, Your Promise is true, and You are the Most Just of the judges." Surah Hud Chapter 11 Verse 45. But as soon as Allahu Ta'ala Azzawajal reminded him saying... "He said: "O Nuh (Noah)! Surely, he is not of your family; verily, his work is unrighteous, so ask not of Me that of which you have no knowledge! I admonish you, lest you be one of the ignorants." Surah Hud Chapter 11 Verse 46. Prophet Noah promptly submitted to Allah the Most High invoking Him.. " Nuh (Noah) said: "O my Lord! I seek refuge with You from asking You that of which I have no knowledge. And unless You forgive me and have Mercy on me, I would indeed be one of the losers." Surah Hud Chapter 11 Verse 47. Hence he made his likes and dislikes based on what Allah liked and disliked...Sub'haanAllah Al-Adheem when you cannot go beyond bounds in your love and affection towards the one who is born from ur loins and the one who will be called on the Day of Accounting as the son of yours then how can one think of going beyond bounds to any other object whether living or non-living when it has become very clear that he cannot achieve it through lawful means and when he knows clearly that every step towards achieving it will earn Allah's displeasure.... Let me give an example...let us consider the object to be 'position'.It is from our common understading that everyone wishes to place himself in a high position. To achieve a position based on lawful means is normal but blinding oneself with the craze of position results in seeking it through unlawful means or even being jealous of the one who has achieved that position instead of you and thus hating that person and on and on....which is not normal. An other example can be to blind oneself in the love of a woman who is a Mushrik or a kafir which is forbidden as Allahu Ta'ala says: "And do not marry Al-Mushrikat (idolatresses, etc.) till they believe (worship Allah Alone). And indeed a slave woman who believes is better than a (free) Mushrikah (idolatress, etc.), even though she pleases you. And give not (your daughters) in marriage to Al-Mushrikun till they believe (in Allah Alone) and verily, a believing slave is better than a (free) Mushrik (idolater, etc.), even though he pleases you. Those (Al-Mushrikun) invite you to the Fire, but Allah invites (you) to Paradise and Forgiveness by His Leave, and makes His Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) clear to mankind that they may remember. " Surah Al-Baqrah Chapter 2 Verse 221. I remember at this point the saying of Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah (Rahm. Al) ... "The women of this world were made beautiful to those who can see in order to test which of them prefers them over the women of the Hereafter So whoever knows the extent of differences, he will choose what deserves to be chosen." (Source: Abridged by Shaikh Hussain al-Awaa`ishah Faid-ur-Rahmaan fee Al-Fawaaâid-il-Hisaan (No.1, pg.30-32)) An other example could be to love someone who hates Allah and His Messenger or what has been revealed even though the object of love be ur friend ur near ones etc etc. and even this is forbidden... "You (O Muhammad SAW) will not find any people who believe in Allah and the Last Day, making friendship with those who oppose Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad SAW ), even though they were their fathers, or their sons, or their brothers, or their kindred (people). For such He has written Faith in their hearts, and strengthened them with Ruh (proofs, light and true guidance) from Himself. And We will admit them to Gardens (Paradise) under which rivers flow, to dwell therein (forever). Allah is pleased with them, and they with Him. They are the Party of Allah. Verily, it is the Party of Allah that will be the successful. " Surah Mujadhilah Chapter 58 Last Verse. To be continued... Wa'assalaamuaalaikum wsps |
