What do I do? [i need help learning about islam!]

My email address is: mockingbirdjc@yahoo.com. I'm a
professional, and I'm becoming a Muslim soon. I only know this is the right step
for me, but I need more suggestions of good books to read, tips on
professional dress, including how to incorporate the hair cover into my
professional attire, and support.

Any ideas?

Sure- You can e-mail me-

Or just post your questions on this site.
Be specific with your questions-
What topics are you interested in reading about?
What profession?- what kind of hair covering are you interested in? What kind of dress do you wear now?
Support in which way? and from whom?

as salaamu alaykum,

Hey, welcome to the board :)

Guys, this is a very cool chica I met at the local mosque one day.  We had a chance to chill, and I told her about the board and how awesome all of you are.  So I'm hoping you guys can give her some good advice and live up to your reputation ;)

Welcome and it's good to have you here :-)

Here's a site that has some fantastic reference resources such as the Behisthi Zewar (Heavenly Ornaments)

http://www.eastcoast.co.za/muawiya/links.html

The Behisthi Zewar covers a lot of ground and should be a good place to start :)
