OK PEEPS stop running around the madina like crazy posting stuff.. sheesh... you get something new and look what happens everyone goes crazy ;D please post only in the media center and only on the new board issues... ok so here are the issues: what color schme do you guys like: there's the vanilla coffeeish one and there's the blueish one that's the one now and how else should i islamicize this?? and do you like the java fader news or should it go back to the plain text like before??? ps someone asked why does it say logged... that means it's logging the ip... basically only admin can see it!! |

| there's no html allowed on the board... can you imagine the stuff people could do with it!!! ack!! you can use UBB tho which are tags that make stuff bold etc... it's in the help for the old board and i'll add it here too soon.. |

There is a problem with the intro message to the Madina up there ^ The hypertext links are not clearly visible until you pass the mouse-pointer from over them. Otherwise,everything looks nice. I like the new forum names. I hope the Al-manar lighthouse doesn't become the new lightly used forum! :) The thing with forums is that people gravitate to popular forums, and that is where they tend to ask questions. In the old board, most questions were asked in the Madrasa, and now they might be asked in the Naseeha corner. As mods/admins we have to move posts accordingly to ensure they are in the right place. So no more madrasa? Colors... well, this current scheme is good. I liked the older darker blue, but this is fine too. And wow, we have many smileys! :D The anonymous posting page colors don't match with the rest :) Allright, overall a very good job mashallah! Wasalaamu alaikum. |

For what it is worth, my vote is remove the feature. Latest attractions... the section title, I don't quite like the sound of that.. reminds me of some upcoming movies ! What do others thing? How about current events? I dunno.... The bebzi smiley... I cannot put one by clicking on the icon. I think there is something wrong with my browser (ie 6). I remember I had a similar problem when clicking the last item on a list of sound clips. I thought the site did not link it properly, but maybe there is omething wrong on my side. hmm, will have to do some research. |

| [slm] On this board, the time stamp that appears at the top of every post always shows the *original* time of the post. So if you modify your post, it doesn't overwrite the time at the top of your post. The only way that anyone can tell whether or not a post was later modified was if that last statement appears: "Last edited by ..." I think it's often useful to know if a post is modified by someone. Wassalamu alaikum :) P.S. Can we add a "wassalamu alaikum" to the list of "smileys", along with "assalamu alaikum" and "wa'alaikum assalam"? P.S. My cursor also jumps to the top of my post from time to time. It's pretty annoying ::) |
