| Assalaamu-alaikum A big thumbs up to the new look city!! I didnt think thier was much to improve upon from the last system, but actually seeing the new is great, its got a lot of new features, looks nicer, cooler, more pleasant, like the pictures of Medina just after sunrise! And all them smilies :D BUT one thing is missing, wheres the Smilies of the Mujaahideen? :o |

The additional smileys are nice..although it would be even better if we could have one for Sprite too (*hint*) ;D Seriously, awesome work jannah!!! |

| [slm] I like ... - the login option in the first page of the mesg board - the option of moving from one section to another without having to go back to the main page - option of reading the last 10 post. - the new soothing looookk and many more.. | [slm] Hmm ... what did I like? Too many things to list! Right now, I'm loving the "next topic" link at the end of each thread. That way I don't have to go back to the main forum every time and then click the next topic. I can go from one topic to another without having to go back to the main page. Awesome. The preview option, especially on the Madina Messaging is nice! The search seems a *lot* better. I always wanted an option to [size=4]enlarge[/size] the font size on the previous board. :-X And of course, the "last edited" line that appears at the end of each post when a person modifies their post :P Finally, the colors finally seem to be growing on me! :o Amazing! |

Here is a very cool features many ppl might not know about. If you go to your madina messages, at the top you'll see "Preferences" Click on that and you can put ppl you don't want messaging you there (although inshallah you don't have to do that here!). Then below that there is an option to "Notify by Email". This means that if someone sends you a Madina Message it will be sent to you by email as well!! How cool is that... |

| Assalamu Alaikum, Congratulations with the new message board. it's mostly better but I'd like to say something: -I didn't like it too much in the old board either, but I think there are just too many sections in the Madinah... I know it makes the place look cool and comprehensive but I don't think there is much justification. Stuff in the Shahadah bookstore could be posted relevantly in either the TaqwaMAL or BebziS. Al-manarL should be with the NaseehaC. I can't really say anything regarding JJO since I'm not a student in the US... but if new thread rates at the old board are anything to go by then maybe it shouldn't exist either ie. combined with the minaret, ikhwan, akhwat and naseeha areas. The reasoning behind these combinations would be that I would save time in trying to find new interesting threads to read ... For example to learn new stuff I would go to the TaqwaMAL... not the SB ... but there maybe a poem or something there that would benefit me... had it been in the TMALI would have read it and benefitted. The alternative would be to go around every section which I do not have time for and maybe will find articles which are irrelevant to me. Now you might say that compartmentalization will help people better since they won't have to see stuff they don't want to eg. i won't have to read threads regarding poettry if i dont like poetry (which is generally true). That's fine. But I personally think there won't be significant congestion of the areas if there is less cluttering on the main board. I can't think of a proper argument coz I'm hungry, sleepy and am on the verge of having a headache. Same goes for if I made no sense above! Ultimately this is a minor gripe and the board's technicalities have actually improved greatly I think. P.S. I like the "atest member is" feature so that I can see how weird some people's usernames are!! *smile*. Wassalamu Alaikum, Uzer |
