BRITISH SOLDIERS COME UNDER FIRE FOR THE SECOND TIME THIS WEEK

KABUL(Radio Report) : Unknown assailants launched yet another organized offensive against peacekeeping troops. The apparent target were British soldiers although no authentic reports have been received as to the number of casualties. The attack is believed to have happened on around 2030 local time. Peacekeeping troops, as has become normal practise in Kabul, were out in their checkpoints in order to maintain the curfew and be on the look out for any suspicious activity. It was at this time that they were attacked by waves of automatic gunfire. The soldiers, with the help of nearby Afghan police, returned fire in their usual haphazard fashion. The assailants seemed to have got away.

Consequently, security around this region has been tightened and the local people have been warned not to leave their houses at night, probably because of the trigger happy panicked nature of British soldiers. This has been the second attack within the space of a week upon occupying peacekeeping forces. One wonders how far the Muslim Afghan patience of allowing foreign occupiers on their land will last.

POWERFUL EXPLOSION ROCKS SHOPS IN KHOST

MEERANSHAH(KPI): A powerful explosion was set off in a shopping centre in the Afghan province of Khost. The shops targeted had been selling musical cassettes and instruments together with video players and televisions. All music and television had been banned under the Taliban, for reasons obvious to any self respecting Muslim.

It is believed that unknown men came at night and set off powerful bombs, targeting the abovementioned shops. The ensuing powerful explosion completely destroyed all of these shops with an estimated million rupees worth of damages. It is becoming evident that the Muslims of Afghanistan, who had once lived under the justice and peace of Islamic Law, are vehemently opposed to those things that will rob their people of their innocence and weaken their society with the tools of disbelief.

EVIL RETURNS TO AMERICA'S "LIBERATED" CITY

LONDON (News Desk): Gambling, opium smoking and paedophilia have all re-emerged after the removal of the honourable Islamic Taliban rule. Where the Taliban had stamped out paedohilia, Kirzai's government powerlessly watches as this evil practice returns to Kandahar and children are safe no more. Following this rapid spread of evil, the people of the city are already lamenting the absence of the Taliban and it will not be long, Allah willing, that the people of Afghanistan scream and cry for the return of the noble Taliban.

Opium planting, banned under the Taliban, has surged. A local official, in fact, alleged that many of the thousands of southern Afghans planning a religious pilgrimage to Mecca this month paid for it out of opium profits. Have no doubt that very soon these lethal drugs will find their way back into the cities of Europe and all the good work of the Taliban in stopping the work of evil will be undone.

RIFT IN GOVERNMENT WIDENS AS ZAHIR SHAH PLANS MARCH RETURN

LONDON (News Desk): Afghanistan's former king plans to return home nearly three decades after he went into exile, an official from the interim Afghan government said today. Mohammad Zahir Shah, 87, wants to return home for Afghan new year on 21 March.

Overshadowing his expected return is the murder last week of the country's aviation minister Abdul Rahman, a supporter of the king, leading to speculation of a growing rift in the American controlled government.

"Afghan Nation Will Recall the Taliban Very Soon", Taliban Interior Minister

SPIN BOLDAK (Sana News): The Taliban government's interior minister, Mulla Abdul Razzaq Akhwand, said that Ameer ul Mumineen Mulla Umer is still in Afghanistan but nothing can be disclosed about his place of residence. He said that the Taliban will soon regroup and initiate their activities again and the entire Afghan nation will accompany them. He said that he will continue his support for the Taliban till his "last breath". These thoughts were shared by Mulla Abdul Razzaq in an interview with foreign News Agency Reuters. According to reuters, this interview was recorded in Spin Boldak.

Mulla Abdul Razzaq said that Kirzai's interim government failed to maintain law and order in Afghanistan despite immense support from the US and other Western countries. He said that time is not far when Afghan people will announce their support for the Taliban again. He said that the Taliban maintained law and order and peace in the country, with support from only 40,000 troops. He said that presently, the difficulties of Afghan people will lead to the return of the Taliban leadership. Mullah Abdul Razzaq said that the Taliban are waiting for the right time.

About Ameer ul Mumineen he said that at the time of retreat of the Taliban from Kandahar, Ameer ul Mumineen left the city alone. It can only be said that he is still in Afghanistan but his exact location is not yet known. Mullah Abdul Razzaq Akhwand rejected any accusation that he had put down his weapons infront of Kirzai's government. He said that he will continue his support for Taliban till his last breath.
