| Bismillah [slm] I was wondering if any of the New Yorkers/Albanyians/USians have been to see the Ground Zero site? If so, what were your thoughts or impressions while you were there? If not, why not? [wlm] eleanor :-* |

| Hi Eleanor, I saw it. To see it in person is nothing like on TV or photos. I'd like to be able to say that I had some profound thoughts while I was there, but basically all I could think was "what a waste." Of lives, of time, of spirit, of everything that makes us good and decent people. The world is fracturing, and it seems to me that many people aren't really interested in *solving* the problems. They just want to shout the next person down. Each one is convinced that he/she holds the morally superior position. Each one believes that he or she is "right" while all the others are misguided at best and nefarious at worst. Being there deeply saddened me. Sparrow |

| When I see the site on TV i am reminded of the ruins of Ad and Thamud. In Surah Fajr ALLAH speaks of their transgressing beyond limits and being destroyed and I feel thats whats happening here. [wlm] |
