Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh

I'm pasting the email I send to few friends and relatives. So, Sr Maliha and
Kathy you don't need to read it. Btw, this is under Anonymous Posting cause I haven't
gotten around re-registering. I just had a reply from a writer friend of mine,
asking whether this is : "Is this a true story or is it a good imgiantive creative
work of yours." . Man... I must be way too imagitive that my friends can't
differentiate between the truth and imagination coming from me :

Assalamualaikum/ Hi to My dearest Family & Friends,

Here's a conversation that took place yesterday at ashop.. I was there to buy my
mom her delayed birthday present that I promised her.  The present was a pair of
spectacles.

Shop manager : So ma'am what kind of lenses do you want?
Mama : multicoated, etc etc etc  (Full of jargon, words that I dunno of.So I
couldn't be bothered. Was actually proud she knew all this. )
Shop manager : That'll cost you RM300
Mama : Ok.
Me : WHAT???!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shop manager : You see that's  because she wanted all these stuff.
Me : :- |      Whatever....

Shop manager : So ma'am what kind of frame do you want?

She took 20 mins to decide.
Mama : I want this one. ( Yves Saint Laurent branded frame)
Me : MA!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's like RM900!!!!!
Shop manager : For you I'll give discount. RM400 for you.
Me : Look Ma, next to it is another frame that looks the same and cheaper.
Mama : I still want this one.
Me : %*(*(_)(^&*(*)(* *mumbles and grumbles* Yeah, whatever. We'll take this.

(US Dollar$1.00 = Rm3.8  Aus Dollar $1.00 = RM1.9  UK 1 = Rm5  so go figure)

So now my mama is a proud owner of a new pair of spectacles. I was actually
reminded abt a few scenarios when I was a kid, and mama was taking me for shopping.
Same case as above when I wanted the Barbie with pink gowns, trip to Singapore, the
leather shoes, the notebook.. etc etc. And now I'm complaining???? She probably
had to go through the above situation millions of time when I was a bratty lil
kid. And anyways, as a Muslim, we believe that the heaven is under mom's feet (don't
go looking under your mom's feet, that's just metaphorically speaking only).

Me : So what do you want for this year ?
Mama : Something gold.
Me. Accckkkk!!! *fall down the chair trying to breathe again*

Salam and bye .

Rgds and luv,

=========================================================================================
Wassalam.
Rgds,
Ninth Muharram
