[slm],

OK CARA ,this is a recipe for goat meat but I don't know if you have tried pakistani/indian cusines before so I 'm gonna post a mild flavored recipe and you can see if you like it :

MEAT PILAV:

1 LB MEAT (CHOPPED INTO CUBES)

2 CUPS RICE (SOAKED FOR 20 MIN)

2 MEDIUM POTATOES (PEELED AND CUT INTO QUARTERS)

1/2 CUP FROZEN PEAS

2 MEDIUM ONIONS (FINELY SLICED)

3 LARGE TOMATOES (DICED)
1 TSP WHOLE CUMIN
2-3 CLOVES (whole)
2-3 CARDOMANS (WHOLE)
1CINNAMON STICK

1/2 TSP TURMERIC POWDER
SALT TO TASTE
2TSP GINGER/GARLIS PASTE OR PUREE
1 TSP CORRIANDER POWDER
1/2 TSP RED CHILLI POWDER (OPTIONAL)
1/2 TSP GREEN CHILL PASTE (OPTIONAL)
1 CUBE OF VEGETABLE STOCK
4 TBSP OIL

Heat oil in pan add the whole spices and sliced onions and fry untill onions turn golden, now add the meat with garlic , ginger pate , vegetable cube and the rest of the spices. stir for 5 min or untill meat changes colour. Add tomatoes and stir well for another 5 min.
put on low heat and add 3 cups of water and cover. let the meat cook untill it is tender.now add potatoes and peas and wait untill the potatoes are boiled. you should have about 2 cups of stock in the pot , which is enough for the rice to cook on a low heat.bring the stock to boil and add the rice and cover . turn the heat low
check after 5-10 min.
pilav is done.
serve with a salad and some yoghurt.

enjoy

BUSHRA :-)
