slm,

there's a feature on IM that allows you to make yourself invisible to everyone except those on your buddy list. so take them off your buddy list and you should be fine.  as for the phone calls, i suggest you not answer the phone, what they're looking for is probably a reaction from you, so after awhile they should get the message. stalkers have one goal in mind --- REACTION - so don't give them anything.

The real problem was talking to them in the first place, that's the root of the problem.   If this persists, you can then call the police and they can trace the call and do something about the harassing.

Either these guys are serious about that they're doing, or most likely, just fooling around.

If you really are afraid then you should talk to a senior brother in your community who can politely tell them to back off. If as I suspect, they are teenagers, then a stern warning with the repercussions of their actions should be enough. However if they persist, then go to the authorities. This will require you coming clean with your parents since its their property wheres the phone calls are coming and its better to come clean and tell them rather than them finding out from someone else which could make it worse.

Normally young guys are just macho and talk tough but will immediately back off after a brief warning from the Police.

And I agree with a above, dont answer the phone. The more they hear your voice the more encouragement they get in doing this.
