| [slm] Imam Siraj Wahaj was at our school yesterday alhumdolillah. He had a few very good points as always. May Allah reward and bless him "I was going to Atlanta from NY, and as my plane took off, i could see all the landmarks, neighbourhoods. I looked at them, "there goes bronx, there goes george washington!" and as the plane continued its course, it was still going north and i was getting restless as we had to go south. I was still seeing all the landmarks and they were telling me that the plane has to take a turn.. it has to turn.. and then it started turning.. the point is that you can only guide yourself once you know the way and landmarks in your life that you have to get to." (the Imam actually animated the whole flight with hands spread out..:) and it had such an effect on all of us..subhan'Allah) The biggest enemy of Muslims is not America, not the white man nor the west but the shatyan or devil. The devil wants us to be led astray. Look at it bros/sis , the devil can't physically hurt or kill you but he can make you kill other humans which is exactly his agenda to spread mischief. He quoted from the book, 'the art of war' (an awesome book) two excellent points. 1. If you know yourself and don't know your enemy, then you will win the battle 50% of the time and lose 50% of the time 2. If you know yourself and know your enemy you will always win the battle. (he recommended all us to read this book which is a must read for corporate executives) He quoted the Ayah "Allah is the Protector of those who have faith: from the depths of darkness He will lead them forth into light. Of those who reject faith the patrons are the evil ones: from light they will lead them forth into the depths of darkness. They will be companions of the fire, to dwell therein (For ever). " He said Malcolm X was one such person who came from darkness into light, but shaytan is the one who wants us to go from light to darkness. He said Malcolm X did not know a lot about Islam. He knew little but acted a lot on it. We know so much and it's our responsibiity to spread the word of Allah. He said one of the fitnah is the computer where bros/sis go to these 'sites' and when they see what they are not supposed to see... they say 'Astaghfirullah'... when they go to some other 'site' A'uzubillah... lol....:) (the whole class was crackin up) he asked us to make dua for imam jamil and that they are devising the legal strategy for him and then insha'Allah we can do something about it.. he said that he had a 4 hour long meeting with louis farrakhan over NOI and insha'Allah they are coming to the fold of islam. for the first time they fasted this year in ramadan unlike december when they used to fast. some of them are now praying jummah... and slowly insha'Allah they will be with us.. SUBHAN'ALLAH.. GOOOOOOD NEWSSSS..(i had read something on it but this was a confirmation) subhan'Allah the whole lecture as always was amazing..May Allah protect him..ameen.. [wlm] ahmer |
