Question about a Quranic word

I have a question about the word or words in the original Arabic which are translated into the noun and verb "seal" in English (in particular, in the Yusuf Ali translation).  A couple of locations would be 4:155, 33:40, and 83:26.  There are numerous other references to people's hearts being "sealed".  This is a word in English which has many meanings and nuances.  Do these instances all translate from the same word in Arabic?  From a bit of research on the web, I have gathered that the Arabic word in 33:40 is "Khatim", but I neither speak nor read Arabic, so much of what I could find online wasn't too helpful.  If they do come from the same word, what are the different meanings and nuances in Arabic and how do they differ from the English?  If they are originally different words, what are those words various meanings?

Thanks!

you need a linguist for your question :)

all i can say about your question is ... yes, they both use the same form of the word "khatm."  That is, seal of the Prophets and sealed hearts.

Just adding a little to the thread.
The word translated as "sealed" in 4:155 is not the same word/root as "khatam", instead the word is طبع "taba'" which, although translated the same as sealed, also is listed in the dictionary as, impress, instill, imprint .  I don't have Hans-Wehr, so maybe sister Jannah can add to this.
