Asalamu Alykum Wa RhamtuAllah, The Etiquette of reading The Quran: 1) Make Wudu. 2)While reciting the Quran, taharah is very important, choose a place that is pure/clean and be mindful of any najasa on you or around you. 3)Recite tawuud (Autubillah: Seek refuge with Allah from Shyataan) , followed by Basmala. 4)Recite the Quran with Khushooh ( spirituality) and thoughtfullness. 5) The reader should listen closely and try to understand the ayahs being recited. 6) Hold back the urge to yawn. 7) Reader should attest to the truth (sadaqa RasulAllah). 8 Avoid any interruptions. 9) Make personal Du'a. ~I hope this helps a lil, as my beloved tajweed teacher reminds me all the time , the Quran is the book of Allah(swt) not just A book. Also, its a guide to everything in life so it should not simply be placed on the highest of the shelf and never touched. InshaAllah someone will elaborate.. JazkumAllahu Khayran :-* |
