OK so usually when I make lasagne it is oozing in fat  :o and that is how I like it :D but try this recipe, I've cut corners and it will make a difference INSHALLAH and it tastes alright, try it and let me know ;):

Say BISMILLAH

1pk af lasagna sheets

FOR MEAT SAUCE:

1 tsp crushed garlic(good for the heart , bad for breath ;))
2 tbsp oil
mince of 2-3 chicken breasts(get your butcher to do it, if not just bung it in the food processor , if u don't have one; chop it up really fine,if you can't be bothered to chop it up ............well then you're just lazy :-/)
1 can of chopped tomateos
1medium onion chopped
salt and pepper to taste
oregano2 tsp
2tbsp ketchup
1/2 tsp msg
1/2 tsp redchilli powder or green chilli paste(optional) :-X

FOR CHEESE SAUCE:

1/2 CUP BENECOL/FLORA PRO ACTIVE (CHOLESTROL reducing margarine)
1/2 cup plain flour
1 pint fatfree milk( you know , the one that looks like watered down glue :P)
2 tbsp shredded chedder cheese
salt to taste

2tbsp golden breadcrumbs
2tbsp mozzarella cheese(shredded)

heat pan put the oil in , put in the chopped onion ,when the colour turns light golden put in the chicken mince and stir well ,add garlic ,salt ,pepper, msg, ketchup and tomatoes.stir well and wait till chicken has cooked through then add oregano .cover and let it simmer for 5 min.

for the cheese sauce melt margarine in a pan on a low heat , add flour and stir well untill it looks like a paste, then add milk gradually and keep stirring so that it doesn't get lumpy .keep stirring untill you get the required thickness. Put the cheese in and take off the heat.

prepare the lasagna sheets according to instructions on the packet, and lightly grease the dish. Alternate  the sheets with the two sauces to build up the layers. Finally spread cheese sauce on the top and sprinkle with breadcrumbs and cheese.

Bake in a preheated oven according to instructions on the packet.

Before serving pop into the grill for 2-3 min so that bread crumbs turn golden and the top becomes nice 'n crunchy.

TIP: If you can't find the margarine mentioned for cheese sauce, get a low fat version or sunflower oil.
If the sauce gets lumpy ,let it cool slightly and blend the lumps with a hand blender.
Try adding 1/2 tsp of cumin powder or turmeric powder to give the meat sauce a kick.

ENJOY WITH []
