| [slm] Hindu fanatics have massacred thousands of Muslims in Indian Gujarat and other areas. These terrorists have roasted hundreds of Muslims alive in their houses, shops, vehicles and factories. Their financial losses could not be ascertained. The terror wave is spreading from Gujarat to adjacent areas...... Villages are in the grip of lawlessness. The violence started when a Hindu extremist outfit, Vishua Hindu Preshad, announced the construction of Ram temple at the site of historical Babri mosque from March 15. Soon after the announcement, thousands of Hindu fanatics started reaching Ayudhia in the last week of February and started collecting construction material for the temple. Pillars and a model of the temple have already been completed. Worship of idols was initiated at the Babri mosque site and rallies and processions were organized to spread hatred among the Hindu population against the Muslims. The most dangerous thing was that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was fully supporting these fanatics. Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Interior Minister L.K. Advani are themselves members of extremist Hindu organizations. The political as well as religious powers of the Hindus had raised the construction issue. They wanted to fuel Hindu-Muslim riots by provoking this movement so that Muslims could be massacred under its cover. There are solid proofs that central and state governments of India were conniving with the Hindu rioters in the bloodshed of the Muslims. The Indian Human Rights Commission stood witness to this fact. When the government itself is involved in provoking violence on this sensitive issue then what outcome could be expected? Muslims’ blood was shed in streets. Their houses, shops and factories were set ablaze. Armed Hindus were standing guard outside. Whosoever Muslim tried to escape from the blaze he was slaughtered with swords. Police not only played the role of a silent spectator but also discharged their “duties” by firing on innocent Muslims in many areas. When a mosque was put on fire in Ahmedabad and some Muslims came out of their houses to put out the blaze, they were showered with bullets. Hindu youths, being escorted by policemen, were setting on fire various properties of helpless Muslims. The Ahmedabad commissioner told journalists that Muslims had been contacting them through telephones from the burning houses but the state machinery could not find way to reach out and rescue them. He specifically mentioned the name of a former MP, Ihsan Jafari, who repeatedly informed the police over his phone that his house had been set ablaze by Hindu arsonists but no fire-brigade or police contingent could reach there for his help. He along with eighteen members of his family, including his wife, and offspring, was burnt alive. Jafari had the phone facility and numbers and access to the law enforcers but there were many others who did not enjoy this facility. They could not even call anyone for their help and were burnt to death in seclusion. Imagine the helplessness of the Muslims..... Many a children would have been burning before the eyes of their parents.....But no one of them would have been able to rescue them... They could not escape the fire for the explosive material used was so horrible that it spread fire all around within minutes. Pictures show that the arsonists engaged in the bloody violence were trained as they were carrying bombs in their hands. They were openly carrying the explosive material and no one was there to challenge them. If cameras of journalists could have pictured them, how could they be hidden from the eyes of the agencies responsible for law and order? But the agencies themselves have planned to massacre the Muslims. Army contingents were deployed after three days but they too “could not” control the violence. To cover up their failure, they took refuge behind the pretext that the civil administration had not provided them with the city maps. The army, police and government of the Hindus are giving a clear message to the Muslims that they would have to quit India if they would stick to their religion. These are not the first anti-Muslim riots. Such incidents have become a routine in India. At least three thousand Muslims had been massacred with the demolition of the Babri mosque. There were scores of incidents in which Muslims were stabbed to death even before this incident. However, the trend strengthened after the demolition of the Babri mksque. It is a sorry state of affairs that the same people are in power who were involved in the demolition of the mosque during the tenure of the Congress. Had the accused involved in the demolition been taken to task the situation would not have so much worsened. But the Congress is also dependent on Hindu votes, while the BJP has been doing its politics on the basis of its Hindu vote bank. Vajpayee thinks that he has come to power as a result of the demolition of the Babri mosque. That is why he had clearly said in his election campaign speech that he did not need Muslim votes. Many a people with political mind will be thinking that had there been the Congress in power these riots would not have taken place. But they are wrong. All the Hindus have same politics. In the business of democracy and majority, the Muslims are being made a scapegoat. But, unfortunately, the Muslims are not getting this point. Some so-called pro-justice elements might attribute this violence to the train incident though the train incident was a part of the violence continuing in Ayudhia because of the construction of Ram temple. ........When the train carrying extremist Hindus halted at the Godhra railway station, the passengers looted all the articles of Muslim vendors on the platform after chanting provocative slogans. The provoked Hindus were engaged in violence. Muslims may also have clashed with the assailants. But the setting up of the train on fire and the death of 60 Hindus says that the train caught fire due to the explosive material being carried by Hindu youths for use against Muslims “if need be.” Otherwise how can two thousand Muslims could assemble outside the city and suddenly disappear after setting the train ablaze. This was only propaganda of the media against the Muslims. We think that the Hindus themselves had planned the train fire incident to initiate bloodshed of the Muslims under its garb. Later, they blamed Pakistan and Mujahideen for it. The fact is that the incidents of Ayudhia are itself provocative. The secularism of India demanded that mosque should have been re-built at the site of the demolished mosque and the accused should have been given exemplary punishment. But it happened vice versa. The Hindus were given a chance to demolish the structure of the mosque. Then the issue was hanged in court proceedings, while the unscrupulous elements provoked millions of Hindus to kill or be killed for the cause. Who can stop them from heightening provocation? The situation is continuing and it is apprehended that it will go from bad to worse. What is the solution to this problem? Muslims cannot even protest on the issue.... Political parties cannot annoy their Hindu voters.... The Congress leaders are hypocrites. They have sowed seed of the conflict. Those who are expecting that the Congress will deliver any good must remember that after Dhaka fall, Indra Gandhi had told Indian parliament as Prime Minister that “by conquering East Pakistan, we have sunk the two-nation theory in the Gulf of Bengal. And that “we have taken revenge of 1000-year-long slavery.” The situation might have distressed many a people. They would have wailed over the helplessness of Muslims in India. But to what gain? Many a friends would be disappointed over the criminal silence of the champions of world peace and leaders of the movement against terrorism. But these friends had been wrong in pinning their hopes on them. Had this problem been created in the Christian world, the West would have cried out....America would have acted immediately.....The UN would have recalled its responsibilities. This is not just an assertion. It is a fact. These friends can judge this fact that how precious are the lives of Jews and Christians from the Daniel Pearl case. But no one is bothered about the lives of Muslims. George Bush is worried about the integrity of India, which is being given sophisticated arms worth billions of dollars. Kashmiris are terrorists in the eyes of the US while India is a democratic, just and secular society. The US and the Western powers will take the burnt Muslims in Ahmedabad as terrorists. Rather they will be happy that terrorism is being crushed in India. The problem of Indian Muslims is actually the problem of Pakistan. The statement of the foreign secretary has pained the country fellows in which he has described the issue as the internal affair of India. But, had there been any problem with the Hindu community in Pakistan then the respected secretary would have seen the level of protest by the Indian authorities. However, it is an honour for Pakistan that the Hindu community is enjoying full rights in Sindh and others places in the country. Rather in some areas of Sindh province, the Hindus are more privileged than the Muslims. They had never faced any problem even at the time of the demolition of the Babri mosque. Rather I claim that no where in the world the Muslims have ever committed any act of terror against any other religion or nation. Islam does not allow it. Therefore, Muslims, though being hurt ever where, never take up arms against non-Muslims in their countries or societies. However, restraining the tyrants from committing atrocities is Jihad. And Muslims are waging this Jihad for their liberty. In the terminology of the present world, assaults by armed Hindus are not terrorism..... But the struggle of Kashmiri Muslims for their freedom is terrorism.... That is because of enmity against Islam............... However, Muslims have to do all on their own to protect their religion and themselves. As far as the riot-hit areas of Gujarat and other Indian provinces are concerned, it is the duty of the Muslims of other Indian provinces and Pakistan to extend maximum help to them. We hereby demand that if Muslims of Gujarat want to migrate to Pakistan they should be allowed. Borders should be opened to them. It is wrong to assert that they are Indian citizens and their entry will be illegal. We think that as Pakistan has been created on the basis of two-nation theory, its ideological basis demands that the Muslims of the sub-continent be provided protection. Indian Muslims have their right on Pakistan. They are facing these consequences for they had taken part in the creation of Pakistan. If due to the conspiracies of the English and the Hindus many areas of Muslim majority could not be included into Pakistan then the requirements of the ideology of Pakistan could not be ignored. Allama Iqbal had rejected the bounds of geography by denouncing the homeland as one of the gods. If the present rulers cannot understand Islam through the Quran and Ahadith and they cannot see Pakistan in the context of Islam then they should lend an ear to Allama Iqbal for they are very fond of the poet philosopher. It may help them understand the ideology of Pakistan and they may be able to gain their senses. Beware that this senselessness has cost us East Pakistan. Now what more they want to lose. Advance for the help of the oppressed Muslims. These borders are for the Hindus and not for the Muslims. If these borders could be opened to Afghan brothers then there should be no hitch in doing so for the Indian Muslims. The Hindus call the Muslims Pakistanis in India. Ahmedabad where the most severe riots were reported is called as the small Pakistan. Then why we should not help our oppressed brothers? It is the time to atone for the mistake committed in East Pakistan. Promote the ideology of Pakistan..... Silence is not good for us. Who will solicit the Muslims today? Who will come to their rescue?"It is the time to awake the Islamic world....... The conspiracies of the Hindus have taken roots in Muslim countries. Why don’t Pakistani missions apprise the brother Muslim countries about the facts and got closed business of the Hindus worth billions of rupees in the Gulf? What the rulers have got from the “world coalition.” After Afghanistan, Indian Muslims have been the worst targets of terrorism. The whole world is watching this oppression as a silent spectator. But the authorities of Pakistan should understand their duty and try to deliver. We request the Muslims of India that they themselves rise up for their protection. Only Jihad is the defence of the oppressed Muslims. The riots have proved that the Hindus are fully armed but the Muslims are badly ill equipped to cope with such a situation. The Muslims of India have so far been proving that they are peaceful citizens. And that they are living in India with all their loyalties for the country. And that they are not changing their loyalties irrespective of the atrocities of the Hindu majority. But the question is that, despite so much deaths and destruction, had the Hindus given them the right to live? No, not at all. They have to end this helplessness by themselves. There is no need to obtain a certificate of peace from any one. They shall have to rise for their defence. Islam has given a glorious method even to die for. There is no room for a helpless death in Islam. Dying as a martyr gives life to one’s nation. The only way for the Muslims of India is to organize their movements for liberation. There is no other way out. However, this cause demands sacrifices. These sacrifices will lead to success. Why to die helplessly? Though both the life and death of a Muslim is precious, this preciousness is achieved through Jihad. The Muslims had tried to avoid Jihad to save their lives but in vain. If one fourth of the Muslims being slain and tortured in the world today have adopted the path of Jihad, it will have saved them, their nations and areas. They can get freedom and respect in the world through it. But, alas, the “democratized” Muslim leaders have eliminated this thinking. The Muslim community has been used to get power but it has not been put on the right path of Islam. The current politics is a gamble, and democracy a gibbet.... Each and every Muslim is a victim of it. There is a need to raise a pure Islamic movement in the sub-continent. The Muslims can be steered to the right path by giving them right ideology, calling them to Jihad and forging integrity among their ranks. May Allah bless us with the courage to do this and accept our efforts in this regard. Ameen. |
