'Muslim League has been propagating this point for very long time. Unfortunately the North Indian Muslims has not grasped this matter. That is why they are destined to suffer under communalism unlike the South Indian states including Kerala.' As a member of the official Indian delegation, he was speaking at a farewell function organized by Jeddah KMCC after performing the pilgrimage. He reminded the expatriate community that they were a fortunate group to be working in a blessed nation. Especially the residents in Jeddah, Makkah, Madina are fortunate to spend time at the holy places. They are blessed with a chance to visit the resting place of Holy Prophet . He requested them to remember their homeland in their valuable prayers. 'For the past several days he had been traveling across the Arab world as part of the Indian delegation with a mission to explain India's standpoint on Terrorism. It was while in a state of mental peace after the pilgrimage that he heard about the Gujarat riots. Several innocent lives were lost in the riots. The state of affairs is such that there is no one to ask no matter what atrocities are committed against Muslims. Had the Muslim community there made progress under a political entity like in Kerala, they would not have faced this crisis. In the Indian nation, misdeeds as these can be checked by political power alone.
