i was wondering if any of you guys can recommend a good moisturiser?

i have very sensitive skin, so perfumed creams are out, and i think (not sure) that i'm allergic to lanolin.  also i'd really like a moisturiser that doesn't contain alcohol. i started using johnson's baby lotion a while back because its gentle and hypoallergenic but, even that has alcohol in it  :(

if any of you guys can help that would be really great

Being an expert in beauty, i suggest you buy special moisteriser for sensitive skin. Most large chemists/pharmecies will sell them.

If you go to boots, you can buy delicious smelling fruit moisterisers, my fav is cucumber!

Also, after you wash your face in the mornings, use baby oil to soften the skin, leave it on for a few minutes then rub is off!

You could try non-alchoholic aftershave for men, but then your a women, so you'll end up smelling like a man :D

I suggest you pop down to the high street pharmesict and have a word with him, you can get a lot of medical moisterisers. Also try your doctor.

these usually contain alcohol i want to avoid this because of the debate over whether such substances are najis.

ok sister, facial natural skin recipes are good to get. "over here akhwat" have some recipes you could go try out. if your face burns that means that the cream you are using has perfume. all creams like that have perfume. vaseline works very well. curel, keri, gold bond, and all those kind of creams are easy to buy, low in price, and soooo good. i always like it. GOLD BOND WORKS BEST!! :) try it out sis.

What about the big tub of E45 cream? That for dry skin. But has it got alcohol in it?

Olive oil, yes the Italian oil you find in the cooking section of the supermarket is a good remedy for dry skin. No alcohol there.

These are all tips bought to you from my dad  :)

Why is Alchohol such a bigf issue? Its only the chemical form used, i'm sure they dont open a bottle of Budweiser and poor it into the cream!!

And anyway wasnt alchohol only banned because it was an intoxicant?

If i correctly understand, it wasnt even banned in the early days of islaam. So if its banned because its an intoxivcant, i dont see how a chemical form should be such an issue especially since its used as part of a cream which will not intoxicate you!!
