Salamualaikum
Here is my Halaqa for this moment until some one else posts there Halaqa.
And I suggest that we make a name for this Halaqa. Well let me begin. This Halaqa is called

THE MUSLIM RELATIONSHIP

Narrated Anas:
The Prophet said, "None of you will have faith till he wishes for his (Muslim) brother what he likes for himself."

No one muslim shall Allah or his prophet represent a Muslim until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself. EXAMPLE: I go to the store, buy apples for my neighbor and pineapples for me. I WAS ACTUALLY SHOWING MY NEIGHBOR THAT I'D BUY HIM/HER SOME ITEM THAT IS LOWER THEN WHAT I'D GET MYSELF! This leads to selfishness! This leads to selfishness! THIS LEADS TO SELFISHNESS!!!

Narrated Abu Huraira:
"Allah's Apostle said, "By Him in Whose Hands my life is, none of you will have faith till he loves me more than his father and his children."

Narrated Anas:
The Prophet said, "Whoever possesses the following three qualities will have the sweetness (delight) of faith:
1. The one to whom Allah and His Apostle becomes dearer than anything else.
2. Who loves a person and he loves him only for Allah's sake.
3. Who hates to revert to Atheism (disbelief) as he hates to be thrown into the fire."

I don't want to make this speech to long but it is all from Sahih Al-Bukhari

This is nice- if we keep it from a woman's perspective and give examples of a woman's life.

Jannah is a very orderly Sis- she still might move it, I'll leave it and let it be her choice!

In our town we get alot of refugees. Often I am going through my home, packing a bag of stuff to get them started until they are settled.

On day I was in the kitchen and i had two sets of cake pans. One was well used, the other pretty new.

I thought of the above hadith and Insha Allah , made the right choice.

I think what the sister means, is that we all pitch in and sort of get a short Nasiha together to post here that will inshallah be of benefit to other muslim sisters, sort of like how Kathy described how the hadith above made her do the right thing. Mashallah, that was an inspiring little story Kathy!!  :-*  8)  ;D  :D  [wlm]

I am not about to make my own personal speeches- because I fear I may mislead someone.

What I did below is copy something from Islam Q&A- and give a motherly, womanly tie in to it.

Yesterday I told Ali (who is seven)- to pray. I walk back into the room and saw him spitting on the rug- three times!- (even worse- he forgot it was to his left- then remembered- so I had 6 spots on the rug!)

I knew what he was doing- and I wanted to yell..... cause just a couple of weeks ago we were talking about the hadith below. with one exception- the hadith's translation , I read last week said to spit!

One of the companions of the prophet (sahabah) whose name is Uthman Bin Abi Al-Aas, (may Allah be pleased with him),  came complaining to the Prophet (peace be upon him), and he said:

"The Shaitan comes between me and my salat and causes me problems with my recitation." So the Messenger of Allah, (peace be upon him), said: "That is a shaitan called Khanzab, so if you feel his presence, seek refuge in Allah and blow a mist to your left three times."

He said: "I applied this advice and Allah has rid me off him."

(1 This hadith includes two ways to get rid off the shaitan of salat. The first is asking refuge in Allah from the shaitan's evil by pronouncing the words of seeking refuge and this is OK in this case. And the second: blowing with mist to the left three times. This is basically blowing air in a similar manner to spitting, but with a minute mist of saliva, on the condition that this does not disturb or bother the person next to him, nor make the masjid dirty.)

Kathy, I don't think you really understand. I don't think she asked you to make up a speech, but to find a hadith, like you did above, about your son, and use it as a naseeha. Like a hadith about being good to neighbors, and then try to explain a situation where that hadith could be excercised...
I hope you understand.....
