Inshallah I will be going out to San Francisco for a weekend in April for school, and I was wondering if there was any cool mosques in the area or neat Islamic places to visit.  And if anyone knows of any other cool places to visit, like the Ghiradelli Factory for us chocolate lovers, let me know  :-*

Near Ghiradeli square (within walking distance in fact) is Fisherman's Warf, pier 39.  Where you can take harbor cruises (1 or 2 hours) of the harbor, and you can even get a boat ride to visit the famous Alcatraz prison.  You'll see the golden gate bay bridge, and Lombard street (the world's most crookedest street is nearby).  China town is another good place to visit and is a short distance away.

[slm],
I was going to also suggest Fisherman's Wharf and Chinatown-they are fun places.  But there was recently a fire in Fisherman's Wharf, and I know that something big was damaged, but I don't remember exactly what.
I also wanted to add that, since I don't know about the masjids there, if you have time, you are welcome to come to Sacramento (just 1 hour away-we'd even pick you up) and come to our Islamic Center.  Or maybe I can bring a few sisters and we'll come hang out with you.
