| [wlm] oh !! siddiqui do you mean that bread place next to circuit city!!! :D so funny.... we passed by that today and we were like... man who goes there?! they probly sell bread for 15 bucks...it must be for upper crust rich white folks....(no offense to upper crust rich white folks like siddiqui of course) ;) but then we went to kababish in colonie center with bambam and S$...which was all you can eat and not too bad food.... but thanx for the tip maybe we'll actually go in next time! :) |

| [slm] You are kind of right when you say it was upper crust rich white folks I think I was the only colured gent if you didnt count one other guy at the counter but it wasnt too bad didnt get too many stares :) at least not that many when i wear a long kurta and walk on central ave or get into a cdta bus talking of which I must wear my kurta and walk into pannera to judge peoples reaction It is kind of expensive you might need about 10-12 bucks a person and it isnt the place to kind of pig out(oops excuse my lingo I should have used some thing like goat out or cow out :)) but if you want some lite food with excellent coffe and pastries ( pecan roll is my best) thats the place to be If for nothing else buy the bagels (about 50 cents each) i enjoyed them for bfast and i think will feast on them for lunch too(too lazy to cook today) thank god there is a community dinner at the mosque or it would have been bagels the whole day By the way thanks for letting me know kabobshish is hallal Iam sure it will be worth the long bus ride :) [wlm] |

| slm, poor you... call up faisal on the weekends.. he's always up for eating out :) how was the community dinner? it's nice that they are doing that... |

| [wlm] ...and to all the muslims... ameen. alhamdulillah he's at home now...just relaxing...(i hope) it's been very difficult to get him to change his lifestyle.. he wanted to go to the mosque to pray yesterday!! we practically had to sit on him to keep him here :) but he says he wants to go today... we'll see :( the only advantage we have is that he can't drive yet... ;) |

| slm, inshallah :) nice sig by yusuf ali... btw did have you ever read the biography of yusuf ali.... so strange... we think of him as some quiet scholar.. but turns out he was an extremely politically active guy during the time of british india.... he was totally not what i thought.. crazy stuff... it's really too bad we are not taught the history of muslims in recent times.. ie 1900-now... there are probably alot of lessons we can gain from those muslims who struggled for independence of their countries and everything they went through. it's great ppl are actually talking in here!!! come on the rest of you albanyians where u at!!!! ??? |

| [slm] Well did read a little bit about him what ever is given in the transalation but I have heard from many sources that he was in diffculties when he passed away This quote is taken from his transalation but its actually not his own its has been one of my fav , I had this engraved on a brass plaque and then have it stuck on to wedding gifts (like a mirror or picture frame) for friends back home in India.Had become a regular customer of the engraver :) I wonder if any one does it here and how much would it cost [wlm] |
