| salam alaykum, I'm taking a science fiction class, and part of the course requirement is to write an original sci-fi short story. I was considering incorporating an Islamic theme into it since there’s hardly any short stories out there of that sort. What do you guys think of a sci-fi version of the Day of Judgment, and the signs leading up to it?? Like it would portray Gog and Magog as space invaders and maybe the Dajjal can be a one eyed genetically cloned Sharon? :-[ Imam Mahdi could come from another galaxy with his army of aliens to save the day..and then I just have fit Isa (peace be upon him) in there somehow. :-[ Some other thoughts I was entertaining were: * Inter-galactic Jihad in the 31st Century (Something like Planet Israel invades the Palestinian galaxy..yada yada.. :-/ ) * A diary/travelogue of some aliens visiting Earth to perform Hajj; * A human accidentally enters the jinn world as a result of some freak accident and gets trapped? Anyone have any comments/other ideas for a sci-fi plot? Criticism greatly appreciated :) walaykum as salam, --ali ;-) |

| A diary/travelogue of some aliens visiting Earth to perform Hajj; I love this one!!! What a fascinating sociological account that would be ;))) maybe you can do about 1000 years from now, muslims coming to makkah to do hajj....and how everything would be... don't forget to post your story here i LOVE scifi :)) |

| salam alaykum, thanks for your input, I think im going to go with the hajj one...the others seem to require more imginatory skills and what not. I'll post the first chapter once i write it insha'allah walaykum as salam, - ali :) |
