Question about Compulsory Prayers? |

I would like to know which are the compulsory rakats to pray for the 5 daily prayer times. i.e do i have two pray both 2 rakats sunah and 2 rakats fajar for the morning prayers or can i just read 2 rakats fajar? Does the same apply to making up prayers ? Thank you for you help |

[slm] The *compulsory* prayes are only: 2 rak'ahs for fajr 4 rak'ahs for dhuhr 4 rak'ahs for asr 3 rak'ahs for maghrib 4 rak'ahs for ishaa No other prayer is *compulsory* (i.e. fard). However, there are certain sunnah prayers whose importance is stressed a great deal in the Sunnah of Rasulullah [saw]. Missing these is not a sin, but we are highly encouraged to follow the example of the Prophet [saw], and we could always use some more ajr [reward] right? |
