[color=Teal]  [slm] Sister, Welcome to the board.  It is lifesaver when you need one.  :-X Just hang in there.  I know what you mean.  I'm up in New Hampshire and sometimes I feel like I'm going to go crazy if I don't find some Muslim sisters to hang around with.  :'( Atlanta is supposed to have a good community.  I have heard that both Houston and Michigan are fantastic in terms of Muslim population.  Of course there is always Albany, NY.  Home of the cow and bebzi.  :D :D  What type of weather are you looking for? Have you thought about going to college when you finish high school?  If so why don't you check out different universities that might interest you. Maybe your family could move to one of these areas so that you are still close to your parents when you go to college.   Just my two cents. [wlm] Marcie  :-)[/color]

[slm] Marcie, you live in New Hampshire?  I grew up in Maine!  Have you ever visited the Muslim community in Portland?  Mostly Somalis and Afghans and a hodgepodge of others.  I can give you the phone number of the community director and his family if you ever want to take a little trip up that way inshaa'a Allaah. wa s-salaam Tasneem

[slm] i'm also from ga, but am in school in ma.  what part of ga are you in?  there are a lot of young people there, very active especially in the msa's at gpc, ga state, ga tech, etc.  i can give you my friend's number if need be..... [wlm] :-)
