Recent events in Palestine have got me wondering about judgement day.
The Israelis invading the West Bank (ye muslims shall fight them Israelis.
You shall be on the East bank of the Jordan river, and they on the West Bank?) And then there's this red heifer business. I've heard that a [glow=red,2,300]red heifer[/glow] has been born in Israel! Do you guys know what THAT could mean???

YES! I just read about the red heifer too. What an interesting development indeed. I don't know if this is absolutely correct, but first it has to be validated by Rabbis to be authentic (i.e. no blemishes, no white hairs, etc) and then you wait till its 3 years old at which time it becomes ready for sacrifice. hmmmm......

Do you have a link to this news item in any of the mainstream newspapers?

PS All we know is that the antichrist will remain on Earth for 40. The Prophet didn't say whether that was 40 days, weeks, months or years.

And yeah, you're right, Kashif, it's not years. The Dajjal will have forty days
to roam the earth. One will be like a year, one will be like a month, one
will be like a week, and the rest will be like normal days. I think there was
a question about praying  during that time. How would one estimate the
prayer times, anyway?
But then I realise that yawm-ul-qiyamah probably won't be here for at least  eighty years. After all, the dajjal stays on earth for forty years, gets killed  by Isa (rad), Isa stays for forty years (or is it the Mahdi?) But still, it's quite interesting.
I don't know if we are allowed to say that. Sometimes Shaitan also puts these kinds of thoughts in my mind, saying, oh don't worry Qayamat isn't going to be here soon enough, take it easy... etc. What has it got to do with us if the Qayamat day comes tomorrow or day after? We got to work anyways until it is here to greet us.

Another musing of Shaitan is raising hopes of coming of Imam Mahdi, and Isa (as). Again how does it matter? It is just an excellent way of procrastinating the hard work. Shaitan says, oh don't worry everything will be alright once, Imam Mahdi and Isa (as) are here, as if they have taken some flight from some airport and the we are following the flight schedule!!!

The only way it could matter is if we are worthy of being in their company (InshaAllah we all will be if it comes to pass in our life time).

Anyways...just a little bit of my musings...

Allah knows best.

I think its a Jewish thing.  There are Jews in Israel who are waiting for
the appearance of a red heifer. They want to sacrifice this heifer when it's three years old, burn it, and use the ashes to purify the jews so they can enter the temple which they wanna build (hope I've got it right. )
