it sure gave me a good insight on how muslims think.  Muslims (hopefully i am not offending anyone, but it is just some observation) tend not to take criticism well,  if i argue a position (such as ubl being a terrorist, or that he was behind the 911 attacks) that I get the feeling that people think i am attacking Islam.  One of the most important reasons why i came on here was to learn why muslims reacted the way they did to the attacks and after reading about some of the poles about how many muslims supported the attacks or that they didn't believe that muslims were behind them, which was (at least to me and most americans) fairly obvious.  (hopefully i wont get anyone asking me to prove it or saying that they weren't becasue that is not the point of what i am saying.)
Most of all i did not want to have hatred for muslims, and i thought by getting to know how they think about the world would be a good way of doing that, although i felt i have not succeeded in that very well.  there are huge differences i have learned and many of them cannot be helped.  Such as history,  it seems like muslims look at christians as crusaders (even though my country wasn't even christian when the crusades began) .  Anyways,  that is a couple of rambling incoherent thoughts on that subject.

I really, really liked what Tariq Ramadan had to say.  Does anyone know of any more of his work/writings that are online?
