I shall, Insha Allah, be visiting Boston (Massachusetts rather than Lincolnshire) during the last week in May.

Any ideas on where to go, who to meet, what to eat, etc., etc. ???

All ideas welcome.

Jazaka Allah Khair

boston common will be gorgeous then.  the freedom trail starts from there and is very historic.  there are a lot of colleges in the area with nice campuses, so you could go for a stroll there.  newbury street is an upscale part of town, but they have nice outdoor cafes.  or if you like indoors, go to the museum of fine arts, or the museum of science.  and everything is easily assessible by the t (subway system).

Here's the information for ISB:
Islamic Society of Boston
204 Prospect Street
Cambridge, MA 02139
Tel: 617-876-3546
Fax: 617-576-6268
Email: isb@gis.net

You might want to check out Harvard, which is in Cambridge.
Check out Quincy Market and Fanueil Hall.  A wide variety of food.
The New England Aquarium is also in the area as well as the North End (Italian Section).  Can be pricey, but there is a cafe type restaurant with fantastic pizza and sandwichs.  I'll check on the name for you.
The Charles (the river between Boston and Cambridge) for some rowing, sailboating or relaxing.
The Commons: A huge park in the center of Boston.  You can go on the swan boats.
Downtown: Filenes Basement is famous for great bargains
The Duck Tours are famous for showing people around Boston, but they can be quite expensive.

Did you just want to stay in Boston or travel around?  Cape Cod is beautiful this time of year or you can check out the White Mountains in Northern New Hampshire.

Jazaka Allah Khair for your responses.

I'll be going for one week for work and then stay another week to check out the place and "do" the New Englan thing.

Insha Allah my wife will be joining me for the second week, so we can do the "touristy" things there (the Freedom Trail sounds good, a bit of Brit-bashing always amuses my wife ;) ).

Our office is in Cambridge, so it looks as though I'll be well placed for all the nice bits.

Jazak Allah Khair again for your help, especially the ISB links.
