I thought we could start a post for Moms. :-)
A place were we could write down ideas that helped make Child rearing a little more easier! :-/

???I have tried everyway to get Ali to buy milk at school. Begging, rationalizing, offers of buying ice cream. I had just about given up- until one day it came to me!

;-) :-) Race for the Kaba! I told him that at the end of the summer we would have a mystery scavanger hunt with clues. If he brought me home the milk container we would save them and paint them to resemble the Kaba. At the end of summer we will get all the kids together and play this at a park. :-*

:-[He has bought milk every day.....

Let's just hope he is not bringing home other kids' containers!

As for the thread idea, I think it is great!  And don't worry jaj, my little one is only six months ahead of yours.  She just started walking this week!  (Well, that is, she started walking more than 10 steps at a time.)  And now she just paces the place, simply because she thinks it's fun, I think.

This is a wonderful topic. I am a mother of 2, I have a 3 year old son and a 8 month old daugther. I have been having a little trouble getting him completely potty trained. What I mean by that is that he goes poop poop i the toilet, but he doesn't go pee in the toilet yet. Any suggestions.  :-X

As for my ldaugther she has realized she can go any where she wants when she is in the floor, now that she has learned to roll. She always wants to be in the floor now.

Thanks for your time

Wa'alaikum Assalaam wa Rahmatulllahi wa Barakatuh!

LOL, fun topic, will be here daily!!

My tip of the day is:

Have a glass thats hard to clean, too narrow??
use your babies 'baby bottle washer'

don't have a baby yet? no prob, just go out and buy one only a few bucks & and they are really helpful!  :D  :D

not exactly the topic but real helpful and it DOES
have to do with babies! LOL  ;)

Can we post advice requests on this thread too?

My daughter is a fairly picky eater (which toddler isn't, I suppose  ::)) but when it comes to meat, all she will even consider eating are things like hot dogs (I only get her the organic ones) or similar cold cuts, which have all the added salt and preservatives.  I really hate to feed her just this for meat, but it is all she will eat, and I am of course concerned that she gets enough protein and iron, but I really don't like her consuming all the added stuff.  Does anyone have any suggestions for "doctoring" meat to make it palatable to a toddler?

Thanks!

Ali loved to dip!

I would cut up meat/Chicken into small pieces and give him something to dip it into. Dressings, mustards, ketchups...

Many kids are meat finicky at this age. Try other types of food- beans, lentils, peanut butter(on a spoon).
