detention.

Their whereabouts and well-being unknown. One medic who was detained at
the
beginning of the current invasion remains in detention bringing the
number of
Ramallah ambulance members in detention to three at present.

3. Ambulance movements are being restricted in the Ramallah area by
Israeli
army. Ambulances are moving cautiously due to the recent detention of
staff and
frequent searches and temporary detention of ambulances over the past
few days.

4. In response to the urgent need for children's milk in Ramallah and
surrounding villages, Two Red Cross trucks in cooperation with the UNDP
(UN
Development Programme) distributed milk to the public through An Aash
Al Osrah
Society.

5. As a result of insulin shortages PRCS in cooperation with the Red
Cross
began distributing insulin units to diabetes patients and hospitals.

6. PRCS HQ continues to provide local families with desperately needed
relief.

7. Access for ambulances to surrounding villages remains extremely
difficult.

Bethlehem:

1. PRCS ambulances operating out of Hussein Hospital as the road to the
PRCS
Branch has been closed and blocked by Israeli army.

2. A truck from the Red Cross entered Bethlehem today to provide
Bethlehem
residents with relief supplies and milk.

3. Curfew was lifted for three hours today for Bethlehem residents to
purchase
food, water and other supplies.

4. The Israeli Army continues to prevent ambulances and medical teams
from
entering the Nativity Church area, Manger Square and the Old City to
assist the
sick and wounded.

5. PRCS Ambulances are operating to deliver relief items to accessible
areas.

from a
destroyed building today.

injured
persons. PRCS continues to provide food, water and medical assistance
to those
in the camp.

4. Under the umbrella of ICRC, International search and rescue teams
from
Switzerland and Norway are arriving today and tomorrow to assist in the
Jenin
Camp recovery efforts. The teams are specialized in urban search and
recovery,
rescue, and unexploded ordinance. They are bringing with them necessary

equipment and class suites for decomposed bodies that are required to
deal with
this level of disaster. ICRC requested from Israeli Authorities po make
the
International rescue/recovery teams mission as easy as possible.

5. A Canadian medical team of two doctors and one nurse entered Jenin
Camp
today with in coordination with Medical Aid for Palestine Canada
(MAP-Canada).

6. Curfew lifted for five hours in Jenin today but was imposed again
this
afternoon. Even with curfew lifted, the residents continue to suffer
from food,
water and medical shortages as several relief trucks with supplies have
been
prevented from entering Jenin.

7. Bodies may still be under the rubble. There is no equipment to move
the
rubble of buildings safely to remove them at this time. The area is
still
considered too dangerous for full recovery operations due to the
instability of
buildings and unexploded ordinance.

Tulkarem:

1. Israeli army invade Sa'idah village near Tulkarem.

distribute relief items to local residents and hospitals.

supplies.

The Al-Moassi zone has been under curfew since the end of March, 2002
-- access
