| Brother backed out of engagement what should I do? |

| A friend recently was in the process of getting married, and the brother suprisingly backed out. Everything as she says was going well when the unexpected news came to her. Is it permissable for her to ask for clarification from the brother or should she just accept that it was Allah's will and move on with her life? |

| Assalamu Alaikum, The sister has the right to know why the brother backed out of the marriage. The brother may have his own reasons, although I'm not saying that it was right what he did, and it definitely isn't because he had the intention for so long. But something could've happened and he didn't tell the sister, so I think she should inquire about it. I'm sure the sister is wondering of the reason, and it will also calm her heart, InshaAllah. It's also important to remember that Allah has already planned for us whom we are to marry and not to marry. So, if it didn't work out with this brother, then Allah has someone else better planned for the sister. InshaAllah it will work out for the best, and may Allah give her the strength and patience in getting through this. Ameen. Wassalamu Alaikum, Betul |
