| Salaam Everyone, Tomorrow, on our campus there will be a Pro-Israel rally, in response we are organizing a counter-demonstration at the same time and place. I am sure we will come up with some great and catchy slogans, but I thought it would be helpful if you all posted your favorite ones, so that maybe we could use them tomorrow. Thanks, WS :-* |

| [slm] Inshallah i hope your counter demonstration turns out well, and that everything goes peacefully. If it's still not too late, i remember one sign that i saw on c-span this weekend, it had a symbol of swastika = symbol for star of david and then underneath it said HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF. | ruqayyah, i saw that swastika thing, i thought it was very interesting, wish i had the artistic ability to re-create it. i watched the rally on c-span, man i wish i was there, i could have gone , we had a bus going, im so mad at myself now for not going grrr thx for the suggestion tho salaams HaRiSa |

| 8) ahh the counter-rally went well, funny thing is, Theirs was ORGANIZED, ours was an email sent out last night and guess what, we had as many people show up, if not more it was awsome, we had posters, they had posters, but they hardly held theirs up, and ours were SEEN. it was awsome, we took the spotlight, totally we even had a couple of jewish students on our side, who later were called "A...holes" for not standing on the Pro-Israel side the whole thing went pretty smoothly, up until the point where the Pro-Israeli side was done with their speeches and then came on over to us and started arguing, but they were soon drowned out by our chants, and then everyone hung out for about another hour forming groups and arguing sides, thats when it got pretty heated but it was all ok in the end over all, we had a great turnout thanks everyone for your slogan ideas, i used one of them for my sign and being the whiteyyyyyyy that i am, and not even thinking about the sun because it was cold outside, now my face looks like a red ripe tomato grrrr but hey..it was worth it [] these are really cool icons... can we get one with Diet Pepsi pleaseeeeeeeee ehhehe ;) salaaamz H a R i S a |
